Let her know that your heart is bigger because it’s older so you have more room for love.

Oh no as you can see she clearly accounted for their larger adult hearts, her math checks out

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 41 points 5 months ago

I have peer-reviewed this paper and found it to be accurate.

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 20 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I like how visually she thinks about it

[–] Shou@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

She already knows how to use pie charts. Such a smart kid.

[–] Karyoplasma@discuss.tchncs.de 12 points 5 months ago

Smart kid. She's right.

I would not recommend arguing with a little kid, but I have to point out that capacity for feeling is something that can be developed, like a muscle. The more you use it, the bigger and stronger it gets. It can similarly atrophy if under-exercised, perhaps due to neglect or injury.

But the kid and parent know each other for the same amount of time. Can't argue with that

and for the kid the percentage time is larger.

But she's starting out with tiny baby muscles. She has to catch up first.

As a math Ph.D seems rigorous enough to me, most differential geometry proofs have parts that look like this

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago

Joke's on you, kid, I love you even more now

Hugo is kinda getting left out, though, isn't he?

[–] Leviathan@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

And the clan!

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago

According to Internet etiquette you should start personally insulting her now that she's won the debate.

[–] HubertManne@kbin.social 5 points 5 months ago

Its a good argument. I sorta don't want to share what her argument means for the future though.

[–] tacosanonymous@lemm.ee 1 points 5 months ago

Bold of her to assume she loves her "other experiences."

[–] JackGreenEarth@lemm.ee -3 points 5 months ago (3 children)

She mixing up the heart and the brain?

[–] Lesrid@lemm.ee 17 points 5 months ago

This is actually an illustration of the love region of the brain. She covers the discovery of this region in another paper. I do not have the JSTOR link handy.

Everybody knows feelings are stored in the heart, the same as pee being stored in the balls
