PC parts (infosec.pub)
submitted 10 months ago by iamak@infosec.pub to c/ireland_on_lemmy@lemmy.ml

Where can I buy individual PC parts (like Power Supply Unit and PC Case) in Dublin? I checked Curry's and Harvey Norman both didn't have individual parts.

Max Burns in Tallaght have individual components, but they're a bit pricey.

Their site claims that they are moving to a new location and I can't view the components on their website either. Is there any other alternative?

Sorry, I didn't see that they were moving. I don't really know any other brick & mortar stores in Dublin for PC Components anymore.

I know you're looking for a physical store but you should check out GPU Tracker. You'll generally pay more for components from Irish companies than you will on the continent.

Even with extra shipping when buying on the continent?

Also I wanted to ask how significant is the black friday sale? As in what's the average discount in %?

Komplett.ie

I've been told they're not really in Ireland, but I've used them several times over the years and have been happy with them.

I'll check them out thanks! Also how good are the black friday sale discounts in Ireland?

Dia dhuit agus failte! I am creating this community because I really liked /r/Ireland, but the decisions that Reddit admins have made regarding API access and the frankly awful way they have treated third party developers and the wider user base have left me wanting an alternative.

Simply put, the worst part about /r/Ireland was Reddit and the direction the company was going in.

So with that said, here is an alternative. A community for the island of Ireland, a place for Ireland and Irish people. I hope to enable discussion about news & current events, where people can ask questions, share memes, and just for general good craic and good vibes. Memes, shitposts, questions, discussions and news are all welcome.

I would ask people to not take the piss please, and if ye are going to post articles, please don't post paywalled ones.

Anyway, suggestions welcome. I hope you enjoy this community.
