Divinity: Original Sin 2, Grounded, and the first Plants Vs. Zombies game. I think they're all fantastic games. Divinity is D&D the video game essentially, I've been playing with my other half and we're both having a blast. We completed the first game a couple of years ago and it was great so the sequel was an easy pick. Grounded is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids the video game, also really good multiplayer, but it does kick players pretty often regardless of internet connection. PVZ, it was cheap on Steam and it's got a surprsing amount of content for the price. Very fun little time waster.

I know I can't be alone in this; I'd love to hear from some other artists with aphantasia. Maybe we can share tips and advice about how we cope, or just commisserate with one another. I kind of feel like a bit of a fraud, you know?

I didn't even learn about aphantasia until after I started selling art. It's by no means my primary source of income, not at all unusual for an artist, but I definitely feel like I've chosen the wrong profession to get into! I also can't imagine sounds but I play several musical instruments. It's like I'm most interested in doing things I arguably have zero talent for.

I nearly got my ears pierced when I was 10, but right as I was about to go to my appointment I chickened out and I will be forever grateful. I didn't really care for jewellery then I still don't now. Piercings especially seem more annoying than anything to me.

It took until I was 16 for relatives to stop gifting me random pairs of earrings, though lol

I have an extremely sensitive nose. It really has no positive sides apart from maybe mildly impressing someone for a brief moment.

If you've ever seen that episode of SpongeBob where Patrick gets a nose, then that pretty much sums it up.

It would be a good idea to write a few sentences about how your future business will operate, the ethos you're aiming for, what exactly you'll be offering, any Unique Selling Point/s you have, and your intended brand image. These would be good terms to Google to get a rough idea of how it applies to your business if you're not sure.

After this, if nothing jumps out at you, try asking ChatGPT or another AI for suggestions using the outline you've already written. I use it to bounce ideas off occasionally. Do remember to search up any suggestions it has for you, though, in case it gives you something that already exists!

I have a shocking number of these stories. I'm a very friendly-looking, non-threatening person so I guess people just feel comfortable talking to me about any old thing.

One time I was walking round town and made eye contact/smiled at a woman walking the other way to me (small village habits-hard to break) and she suddenly started talking about the weather to me, so I awkwardly stopped and made some non-comittal response. She mentioned she'd sat on a bench after it had rained and motioned to her arse and asked me if I thought she'd get a cold.

I was like "I don't think it works that way..." and then she asked me to TOUCH HER ARSE to confirm it wasn't wet. For some reason my response wasn't "Umm, wtf, no I'm not touching you..." but just repeatedly confirming that it didn't look that wet and I was sure she'd be fine because she wouldn't stop asking.

Eventually I managed to get out of that situation without fondling a complete stranger, but I will forever remember that day.

I think part of the problem is that people don't tend to read the comments on anything before they comment themselves. So you get the same old jokes repeated over and over and people thinking their opinions are really niche and groundbreaking when the exact same opinions are all over that same comment section.

Personally when I find myself feeling boring/bored I like to create something, instead of always consuming. It could be anything really, a painting/drawing; a short story; a cake; something crafty. At least it gives you something to talk about!
