I mean sure I agree, but this conversation isn't "just" about the Adjuster. The admins in the last site wide struggle session claimed they want to move the culture away from shitposting, but the problem is that the democratic centralism that the site runs on effectively binds the culture and makes the only "safe" outlet shitposting.

Anyone who's been in leftist spaces esp. online for a long time has seen this kinda shit. It's why we're talking about this like we're gonna get banned for it. It also shows the reactionary tendencies that under gird this site, that's the problem with democratic centralism in practice, you don't really get to ask why, like Amazon you disagree and commit.

It's locked down now, but this is a screenshot I managed to grab chatting with a friend (unfortunately doesn't have provenance attached so you'll have to trust me).

It seems like you’re advocating for a sort of “live and let live” approach to organizing, which I understand when it’s about MLs tolerating anarchists and vice versa. But willfully ignoring fascist tendencies, well, ends up with fascists on your side. Which is just as toxic as the things you’re worried about.

Yeah except I'm not. If I was to fully describe the irony that is happening here it is this: "Hexbear culture is now seemingly tolerating if not out and out celebrating a fascist for something he's done, but will not tolerate a fascist in order to get them to do something they would find worthy of celebration."

For a culture that says "there can be no compromise with fascists", they have certainly found one, and they refuse to not only admit it, but they will continue to refuse the idea whose logical ends they are effectively cheering on.

Likewise the online inter ML/anarchist hatred is mostly based on aesthetics and vibes. That makes the issue of online ML/anarchist collaboration effectively the same problem as MLs cheering on a fascist for doing something they like, while pretending that they'll be able to hang every fascist in the US all 320M of them.

I guess I can’t separate the art from the artist lol I just think context and intent are important

I can, but separating the art from the artist isn't what's happening here. They're lauding the artist for his art. Not celebrating the art as a distinct thing.

Yeah I'm absolutely dying at people using the word "praxis" at this. Not only is it not "praxis" in the typical philosophical context (theory into action), in the Marxist context "praxis" doesn't actually mean good things. "Praxis" in the Marxist context is "human activity". Marx came up with a really cool sounding way to say "We need to see how this plays out to figure out what communism is, so lets all do stuff to figure it out." Then online commenters jumped on a word that made them feel smart. "Praxis" in that sense is also a curse in the vein of "may you live in strange times".

Most people who advocated "praxis" never had to actually live through or be targets of the upheaval that bore fruit. Using it for this situation is just advocating for action for action's sake which is literally just fash, or advocating for accelerationism which is literally what this guy was, a right wing accelerationist.

It's obvious that there's nothing to learn here anymore guys.

Yeah there are comments that are like "these tweets are from 2022! If my hero thought this, he has surely changed!!"

Hexbear is going to be really funny for the next couple of weeks as the inevitable struggle session is going to be lit.

It's so fucking funny that eveyrone on this site would essentially dog pile this dude's tweets if they were posted here without a source, and anyone defending them would be insta-banned for "defending fascism". Ironically instead of contending with the messiness of the world in terms of how to fix it, Hexbear will now contend with the messiness of the world in terms of it's vibes and aesthetics.

It also shows how many of y'all actually read theory. I didn't start reading his tweets until they were posted individually, and I was like "oh he's a Yarvin guy" immediately. It's super funny that this site is so concerned with sea-lioning literally falls for one of the biggest "we gotta kill em all because only we truly care" type sea-lioning arguments from the people on the right most deserving of a wedgie for rubbing their two brain cells together. (Yes there are people more pathetic than Ben Shapiro out there, at least Ben Shapiro secures the bag)

Y'all gonna become fascists simply by watching S. Craig Zahler movies. Such incredible and cowardly ideological weakness from those mostly concerned with aesthetic presentations of ideology and it makes them no better than libs.
