The city is in Indiana. OP thinks it's a cool part of the city because there's an Applebee's and an Olive Garden just a short 30 minute drive away.

I thought that was called a Sound of Thunder. Because the last line went "there was a sound of thunder, then silence." Or something to that effect, heavily implying that the time safari employee killed the hunter who stepped off the trail and on to a butterfly.

I also remember that one of the results of stepping on the butterfly was that all English words were spelled fonetically (typo intentional), a "mistake" I would happily go back in time to commit.

Cleaner if you're living without running water.

What if someone richer than the peach grower took a picture of the peaches, and then demanded everyone else pay them instead of the peach grower for copies of the photo of the peaches? Would you still be upset if the peach photographer didn't make money from every single person who obtained a copy of the photo of the peaches? In some cases, the peach grower got paid before the photo started being sold, in other cases the peach grower gets 0.0004% of the profit from each peach photo sold.

As if anyone born after 1980 answers their front door.

They always did seem to get louder when a wave of heat would roll over the area.

I very strongly disagree. It may appear that way, but community is simply less profitable than "influencers", so communities aren't invested in. Social media and even following influencers/content creators is an example of people looking for community, just not having healthy communities to pick from.

If you're defining long-term as 4-8 years, sure. If your idea of long-term is defined in decades, are you aware the planet is on fire?

The options are 50 yards to the right or 5 feet to the right, but fuck me for wanting someone to even look to the left.

Obligatory: I'm voting for the D, at least the VP pick is aware of the left.

The BBB is a privately owned corporation with all the issues of Yelp (blackmailing companies to pay to hide bad reviews).

It's expensive but I like YNAB. All the functionality Mint had and more, no ads.

It gets better, because all the money they "lost" on a movie they can also write off. Oops, we didn't make any money this year because we put out 10 billion dollar movies and only made 10 million at the box office. Tax break please!
