I pack my wife's lunch every day.

Dude, that's supposed to be what the portrait in your attic is doing; you might want to get it checked out.

The weird condescension over Palestine was also this but the reverse and much worse. "Can't you see Harris is going to kill fewer people? Who wouldn't vote for killing fewer people? Why did the Muslims abandon us?"

Spending the week on reddit and seeing all the Islamophobia first hand has been a bad time.

While you are technically correct about that as I am sure there are laws protecting civil rights, in my case I am owner-operator of my own retail business. A boycott would lose me my business, in fact there has already been a dramatic cut in sales since I came out in support for my family in Israel.

As someone who studied writing in undergrad and then went on to not write anything of note, I find the ubiquity of this sort of vapid personal essay depressing.

I'm pretty sure we're beyond help at this point.

It's actually kind of an issue right now with single-cell protein production. These companies are popping up with these very electricity intensive ways of culturing yeasts or bacteria for protein and if it takes off on our dirty grid, it'd result in a lot of CO2 emissions.

I was out before Bernie was really on the scene; I left shortly after Obama's election after catching whiffs of the weird lib pro-immigration sentiment that consists of "We should make sure they can stay so they can keep picking our crops for slave wages under the constant fear of deportation."

I haven't thought about them in years and then decided to go back and see how things were going after Kamala got the nomination and now I cannot unsee what I have seen.

One of the posts I checked had a bonkers map showing the results of an alleged referendum where Russia's western oblasts voted overwhelmingly to join Ukraine. The source is "Russian State TV." The information literacy over there is terrifying.

The lib bastion over at Daily Kos still has their "Russian stuff blowing up" series going strong. Highlight from the latest edition: according to a definitely real Russian report on the internet, North Korean soldiers are dying from drinking alcohol wrung out of antiseptic wipes and drinking sanitizers. I don't think reason is kicking in yet.

Society-wide veganism via massive livestock pandemic is going on my 2025 bingo card.

The perennial questions of "is it efficient outside of a lab setting?" and "does it scale?" obviously apply, but it is important to note that one of the reaction products is a potassium salt of carbon dioxide whose chemical formula is KOOCH.
