I'm trying to access the community from Connect, but none of the links work.

Neither the search bar...

I'm on feddit.it, maybe we are not federated... That's hard.

Question from a newbie: if you happen to choose an unlucky server on pixelfed, and it gets closed after a while, all the pictures will just vanish, right?

I mean, nothing to worry about if you are hosting memes or other "need to be fresh" content, but if you are looking for something that can be relevant even in the future, maybe that's a bit risky.

Isn’t it a bit of an annoying having repeat communities across various Lemmy instances? in c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml

Possibly because if comms stay empty for a long time, people will search for content elsewhere, and lemmy get forgotten.

Remember that many people come from reddit, and are searching for a place where new content is easy to find.
