Omg this is how I'm describing my gender from now on haha

I mean, except for the part where Massachusetts is the one that started the trend in the first place, and it was Mitt Romney who came up with the plan. There was a time, long ago, children, when there were Republicans who wanted to govern instead of just destroy.

Those times are long gone, of course.

Massachusetts Medicaid (called MassHealth) is the single best health insurance plan I have ever had in my entire adult life. I genuinely wish I could opt out of my trash United HealthCare plan that my employer provides and go back on MassHealth instead.

Swapped out the head unit on my 2016 car for a touchscreen that supports Android Auto. I got spoiled using a similar one in my friend's rental car. It was only $600 installed at Best Buy. It's so nice not to have to fight with keeping my phone in a display holder where I can see the map, and now I can control my phone-streamed music with my steering wheel controls. Makes driving so much more pleasant.

You're not accustomed to the American South or Midwest, I see. You can put ground beef in a lot of common dishes.

This is the actual reason I default to chicken and sometimes opt for fish. And oat milk. It's not everything, but it's a hell of a lot better than eating beef five nights a week and barely required any effort on my part.

I mean...

Textbook

Textbook

My actual Anatomy textbook is full of these weirdly sensual illustrations that are just.. unnecessary.

Too many straight people use this as the third sentence in a conversation with someone they just met though. Like, a formative moment in my psychological development is not something I'm accustomed to discussing with random strangers. It's different when it comes up in conversations with friends.

Add to that the weight of the oppressive sociocultural context that required me to have a developmental moment of revelation in the first place, instead of just, you know, being able to be whatever I am without having to wade though a pile of fear, guilt, and shame to get there. Yeah... it shouldn't be a casual question.

Oh I misread that, my bad

I knew a lady involved in a rollover accident in one of those old, flawed Ford Explorers back in the day. When she recovered, her solution to deal with her trauma and make herself feel safer on the road was...to buy an even bigger SUV with an even higher center of gravity.

Comment saved because my god I get so tired of trying to explain this to people, and I've never done so as eloquently as this.
