Surely you can imagine a truck that may or may not currently be on the market. This theoretical truck is minimally large enough to be reasonably safe, and also has a bed is as big as the trucks pictured. Like, a truck that does not have four doors and two rows of seating.
I’m not saying at that size! I’m saying that whatever size increase you need to make a reasonably safe pickup would be closer to the small extreme (the Kei) than the large extreme.

No, I think OP is making a valid point. If you start with a Kei and just add in modern safety features and nothing else, the size of the vehicle will be a lot closer to the Kei than the other monstrosity.
It would be up to Congress to make something that couldn’t simply be reversed, but I wouldn’t say now is the time for that since the GOP-controlled House almost certainly wouldn’t pass the bill, even if the Senate did. Biden can only issue executive orders that can be reversed on a whim.

By “fill it” I mean put the prescribed number of pills or quantity of liquid into the container. The prescription is not always for a set amount that would be pre-bottled. And sometimes if there is a shortage then they might give me some pills from one manufacturer and some equivalent pills from another manufacturer. (I’m not sure how this kind of stuff is never necessary in your system.)
You can get your prescription from any pharmacy, but you can only send a prescription to one pharmacy at a time. So if you choose the local CVS and they are taking a long time to fill it, you have to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy (even if it is just a different CVS store).
Are you saying that if you have a prescription, you can go to any pharmacy without pre-arranging anything, and they will give it to you? Are all pharmacies linked to a central system so they all know your prescriptions available and whether they’ve been filled?
After I saw 7, I thought, okay the story is super derivative, but I’m actually connecting with the characters like I used to in the original trilogy. Watching the prequels I was never fooled at any point into thinking these were actual humans on screen, but this time I felt something. So leaving the theater, I thought, well, at worst 8 and 9 will be a lot of fun, if you don’t focus on the plot.
It turned out that a portion of 8 was like that for me (I thought the scenes between Rey and Kylo were very cool) and the rest was stuff I never wanted to see again. And then 9’s plot was nonsensical to the point that I don’t think I’ll ever want to subject myself to it again.
I’ll never ever understand why even the most cynical studio in the world would want 7, 8, and 9 to be made without even a skeleton of a plot drawn out for the whole trilogy before starting on the first movie. It’s absolutely insane to me.
It is crazy when you think about it. Everybody learns about right-wing takeovers of government in history and generally agrees the outcome is pretty horrible, and yet it just happens all over again. I guess fear is a hell of a drug.
I’m not going to pretend that if I were facing jail time and my lawyer said “this is another legal thing that can be done in the hopes of avoiding jail time” that I would say “I broke the law, I should just go to jail and serve my time.” I’d probably do the thing my lawyer said was an option.
Yes, that’s a good assumption. Another possibility is that regulatory language incentivizes car makers to have larger vehicles.
It doesn’t really matter whether there’s a market or not, because the main reasons to bemoan these monstrous trucks are that they are bad for the environment, a nuisance on roads and parking lots, and more dangerous for other cars and pedestrians.
I think if the regulatory language is updated to disincentivize the monster trucks, then we’d see a market for the more 90s style trucks.
For some people, the lack of second row would cause them to not get a truck with a full size bed at all, which I don’t see as a problem.
