If you liked the first one you'll like them all! Murderbot was such a fun read all the way through.

Not "many people." Americans. Americans find it hard to read. I'm not 100% sure but I'm fairly certain everyone else in the world agrees that either day/month/year or year/month/day is the best way to clearly indicate a date. You know, because big to small. America believes month/day/year for some stupid fucking reason.

What makes it unique?

It's awesome how well d4 runs on the deck. I love it, if you're into the game it's well worth jumping through the hoops.

I use it every day, so much so that my main gaming PC barely gets used. I'm a dad now and it has made gaming not just possible but easy to do.

What a terrible way to go. They sounded less prepared than even Chris McCandless.

I can't believe I'm recommending reality TV, but Alone is a fairly good representation of being alone in the wilderness with no resources. It is extremely unpleasant.

Buying new, sure, what you're saying makes sense. I think buying used for the form factor or whatever and not wanting windows is a fine choice, though.

They must have hired the guy we got rid of. Bummer, dude. Might have some luck at an IT recycler nearby. Contact them and tell them what you're looking for.

I agree.

Does anything work on the threads in the back or are they the same?

It is incredibly unlikely all the threads are screwed, despite my story.

If they truly are, you should be able to buy replacement rails. If you do, I'd say go square if you can and use rack studs for ease of install.

Unfortunately threaded racks can be lots of different sizes - the most common in my experience are 10-32, 12-24 or M6x1. I just label racks with their screw size in a visible area to avoid confusion.

Someone at my current job ruined every single thread in one of the server rooms, so that's definitely a possibility as well. I will say it is obvious when someone has done that once you take a close look, though.

Best bet is to just buy one of each screw size at a local hardware store and try them out. Maybe also see if there is a model number on the rack, but don't hold your breath.

Good god, it's all beans over there, too! I don't like beans. They're sticky and squishy and irritating and they get everywhere.
