Damarcusart
I read a lot of them, some interesting discussions of theology hidden in there, and some fun mockery of people acting like they think they're the Main Character of Leftism.
I don't disagree that Nintendo is trying to squash potential competition, though when digimon came out, Game Freak actually was the small indie company they pretend to be today, and wouldn't have had the resources to sue Bandai-Namco, even if they wanted to, and since this lawsuit is claiming to be about game mechanics, digimon has nothing in common with pokemon, except that there are cartoon creatures and you battle them in a (usually) turn based way. The original Digimon world for Playstation didn't really have any overlapping mechanics with pokemon apart from standard RPG mechanics. So the circumstances are radically different, which is why I used nexomon as an example, as it is mechanically identical to pokemon, but isn't seen as a big enough threat to warrant a lawsuit (Putting their game on nintendo consoles probably helped with that)
I did notice the mods were removing comments and banning people who tried to spread it out further than the few threads it was in.
but also good work for them keeping on top of this and letting it get too nasty.
masters obey the state (render unto Cesar)
Is that really how you interpret that passage? It was "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto God what is God's" Isn't it? So it's literally calling out the romans for thinking they own everything when they don't. It seems to be saying the opposite of what you think it is saying. Jesus was crucified by the Romans because he stood against the status quo and was a threat to their power in the region.
Is this what a hexbear struggle session is really like? Struck me more as a couple of people making really extreme statements and generally being mocked for it.
Not a politician, but still relevant.
Seems like Thomas was the apostle who knew where to find the really good shit, probably made top tier Bethelem brownies.
But yeah, early Christian writings are a fascinating topic, just so radically different from the codified stuff that came later, and a lot more like other "cults" at the time (not in the modern sense of the word).
Ironic badposting is still badposting.
Maybe that's why the best tomato sauce tends to be tangy and strong?
But yeah, as others have said, if you've ever grown your own tomatoes, you'd know how different they taste from store bought ones, because store bought ones are bred to look big and impressive (so people buy them) but not so much for flavour.
