I don't know the exact metrics of Lemmy but I'd wager it skews US centric. Just block the people posting them, it works.
This conveniently ignores the progress being made with smaller and smaller models in the open source community.

Opposite situation here. I've seen literally 1 so far this year. A decade ago we would've been seeing thousands a night.

Reporting them and letting steam decide whether or not to take it down is the only way to know if they're fine with it.
