In a rational world? Perhaps. But if this were a rational world and that were actually the reason. They would have done it after the Clinton campaign leaked documents. Or 30 times before that. So I highly suspect that isn't the case. It's that it's impacting the people they want to win personally. Therefore it must be censored. And for all the many faults Democrats have. They're not being hypocritical on this point at least. The Biden campaign was contacted with this information previously but didn't publish it or run with it. Not like any Republican or specifically Trump officials would have.

Interesting how documents from democratic campaigns are fair game. Even dick pics of the president's son are fair game. But when it comes to Republicans Suddenly It's all off limits. Strange.

Conservatives operate completely on fear. His eyes can see and understand the lies about his town. But to question all the other lies would be to question faith.

Absolutely. Like the economic liberals that larp as libertarians. What they call themselves and what they do are completely opposed.

The first sentence addressed what they talked about. It's great as an assistant to cut through documentation to get at what you need. In fact, here's a recent video from Perry Fractic doing just that with microtext for the C64.

Anything else like having it generate the code itself, it's more of a liability than an asset. Since it doesn't really understand what its doing.

Perhaps I should have separated the two thoughts initially? Either way I've said my piece.

It's great for regurgitating pre written text. For generating new or usable code it's largely useless. It doesn't have an actual understanding of what it says. It can recombine information and elements its seen before. But not generate anything truly unique.

I can second the kidney thieves recommendation.

Tankies aren't communist. Neither are leninists. Their only ideological stance is to be anti west/America. Even if that means aiding fascists whom they have more in common with anyhow. Of which there's historical precedence.

Policy that never gets implemented is meaningless. It cannot be better. I mean if that weren't the case you'd be a fool not to elect me. Because of my policy is that every person in America gets a million dollars. And I guarantee you that will help people far more than anything Stein is proposing.

What the Simple Minds don't comprehend or want to understand. Is that Jill Stein is in many ways exactly like Donald Trump. They will tell you what you want to hear. Regardless of their ability to deliver on it.

All liberal policy sucks. Regardless of whether it's conservative or progressive. Their reflexive recoiling from anything even tangentially related to socialism. Their need to shove capitalism in everything especially in places it should never be. If you vote for conservative. You get sodomized against your will. Dry and rough. When you vote for progressive. They sodomize you against your will still. But they will be gentle about it provide lube and even sometimes a reach around. Voting for Jill Stein you are lied to and told that the outcome will be better than either of those. Only to find that you will still be sodomized dry by a conservative. Only now Jill Stein and Putin will be standing behind you high-fiving. Which is actually worse.

Not to demean or Kink shame those that like sodomy. But even they like some consideration from their partner. Something which sadly only one of the parties currently in this presidential election can actually offer.

Who in their right Minds would want to be a nerd but not a venture brothers fan?

Yep when it comes to undecided voters. Best case is that they're unengaged and completely preoccupied with long-term health issues etc. The ones that don't fall into that vanishingly small minority. Are just f****** stupid. Willfully ignorant. The one saying RFK Jr and Tulsi Gabbard would be a slam dunk for her, especially so. Anyone who looks at a hypocritical moral less opportunist, or a lunatic ruined by his own family and drugs. And says those are the kind of leaders we need. Need serious help. Especially with staying away from me. It's scary to think that people are so ignorant and proud of it.

A fresh single and video off their upcoming third album Pendulum. I can't recommend this Duo from Texas enough. Their previous albums have been extremely solid for me.

The greatest show unearthed returns with a brand new single perfectly timed for the season. But who are we kidding. Every day is Halloween.

What is Post-punk (en.wikipedia.org)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by Eldritch@lemmy.world to c/postpunk@lemmy.world

Post-punk is a diverse genre that emerged from the cultural milieu of punk rock in the late 1970s. Originally called "new musick", the terms were first used by various writers in the late 1970s to describe groups moving beyond punk's garage rock template and into disparate areas. Sounds writer Jon Savage already used "post-punk" in early 1978. NME writer Paul Morley also stated that he had "possibly" invented the term himself. At the time, there was a feeling of renewed excitement regarding what the word would entail, with Sounds publishing numerous preemptive editorials on new musick. Towards the end of the decade, some journalists used "art punk" as a pejorative for garage rock-derived acts deemed too sophisticated and out of step with punk's dogma. Before the early 1980s, many groups now categorized as "post-punk" were subsumed under the broad umbrella of "new wave", with the terms being deployed interchangeably. "Post-punk" became differentiated from "new wave" after their styles perceptibly narrowed.

The genera itself being foundationally typified by groups such as Siouxsie and the Banshees, Wire, Public Image Ltd, the Pop Group, Cabaret Voltaire, Magazine, Pere Ubu, Joy Division, Talking Heads, Devo, Gang of Four, the Slits, the Cure, and the Fall. But not limited to. And has spun off many sub genera such as alternative rock, dark-wave, cold-wave, synth-wave, synth-pop, and some indie rock
