They were fine to take the pets but they should have been careful not to get bit. They should have informed the person before killing his pet. But you're right ultimately I don't have much sympathy for the guy since he had plenty of time to sort this out and not let it get to this point.

I spent lots of time and money on a sick lounge setup but I've never ever used it for gaming willingly. I had to force myself to sit down and game there. I love sitting at a desk it's far more comfortable and natural to me.

Mastodon does refuse to deal with its issues but i wouldnt say that about Lemmy. Lemmy just has a very small dev team working off no funding.

Gaming on a TV sucks and gaming with a controller sucks for majority of game genres. What's life without strategy games.

I brought space age and I havent even gone to space yet. I havent even played with that part enabled, I've just been making a vanilla megabase with the new quality items and rails. They're insane it reminds me of bobs mods.

Its an adopted wild animal it needs to be registered and vaccinated that makes sense to me. But yeah it's insane how poorly they treated the situation. Idk how they can justify the process.

I will never get over how strange owls are. Such funny looking creatures.

That was a shit story and that department was 100% out of line. but I don't think it was the police doing anything but helping a department with a search warrant.

At first I felt bad then I realized the guy had that squirrel for 7 years and never got a permit or anything. Bro come on how do you not get the paperwork for an animal that you make a living off.

Disgusting behavior. They were so lucky to be saved by police cause they deserved to get bashed. I hope they are all banned from the country. There is a video of them singing the same song as soon as they land which shows they feel no shame or learnt nothing.

I skimmed through a few of the whps economic focused ones and no one says anything remotely close to what you claim.

These are storages though. They should last that long. Just by the fact there is still 60,000 in use is enough reason to patch it.

Hello, I cant seem to find any upto date info on this topic and all the old threads seem to suggest that these features do not work well on linux.

I am looking to get a 144hz monitor that is at least 2k in resolution. I have an Nvidia graphics card and KDE Plasma. I want to run two monitors and the 2nd monitors is 60hz and 1080p. Would this cause issues? Is there anything I need to consider when looking for a monitor?

Linux and its software is constantly under development and the community seems to really be making an effort to ensure that programs work exactly as expected. I often notice little things like glitches or program crashes and I am able to replicate them and I think I should probably submit a bug report or something. Since I am not a dev I have no idea how to do this or where to start. How do I know if its my issue or the programs issue?

For example, Thunderbird 115.1.0 is crashing when I open a specific email. I will put the steps I took to debug it in the comments.

I really like this song

About 10k pop and barely and traffic. I like the beach and the park and didnt want to much high rises ruining that small town.

I saw that people on the dark web would sign their posts with a PGP key to prove that their account has not been compromised. I think I understand the concept of how private and public keys work but I must be missing something because I don't see how it proves anything.

I created a key and ran gpg --export --armor fizz@... and I ran that twice and both blocks were identical. If I posted my public key block couldn't someone copy and paste that under their message and claim to be me?
