I feel cautiously excited for this. I was a huge fan of Dirt Rally 1 and 2 and the new locations and features sound nice but I’m concerned for any new EA release.

From what I have heard before its more like google encourages “innovation” for promotions. This leads to a lot of people creating half baked ideas in order to get noticed for a promotion. Then after they are promoted and leave the team no one cares enough to keep it going and they just quit after it gets too hard.
We had one person in my friend group who was exactly 30mins late every time. Whenever we would make plans we would pretend to meet 30mins earlier to “offset” the lateness. It never worked bc whenever we would do this they would show up an hour after the fake planned time which meant they were still exactly 30mins late to the real start time.
I think its supposed to mean that since they are spending less time they are more active outside of just the reddit focus and if they are doing it others will be doing similar. Less of a “good for the environment” and more of a “good for the group of people who quit”.
I feel like most of them will already have it by now. For them its probably just a loyalty perk.
Its almost like the developers were holding the site together.
I actually think this is a great way to do it. Announcer packs and fatalities dont have a gameplay impact but a whole character does. This just means its easier for players to get the character. It would be best if the character was free but this is not a perfect world.
