Same, it’s one of the good things that I got from being on Reddit/Feddit.

iOS has Möbius Sync as a Syncthing client, but it is not free ( but only 5$ one time payment) if you want to sync folders from other apps like Syncthing. The option to sync other folders was introduced this year.

I am also using iOS with Möbius Sync and it is working quite well. The sync is not running all the time in the background due to iOS restrictions but it is running multiple times per day on my device.

The option to sync folders was only introduced this year. It costs about 5$ one time payment.

There will be many conversion tools for Joplin to other structures. So I guess the format is a non issue.

There is always a risk of collapse for lemmy. When you are in decline there can be negative feedback loops furthering the decline.

An issue I always have with early retirement is whether it is morally acceptable. When retiring early from a skilled profession you are depriving society of a big contribution you could have given, that was also expected and invested in by society. Utilising a power dynamic by having more money and knowledge to capitalise on other people exacerbates this issue.

How are you dealing with this? Are you of the mindset that you do not owe anything to society? That it is completely fair, as you earned that money and there is a perfect market that trades all aspects in a meritocratic fashion (e.g., delayed consumption should be gratified this hard)? Or that you were not just lucky to have the talents to earn so much money?

I currently have the Always Free Oracle instance (Standard.A1.Flex), but I heard that it gets claimed again by Oracle when it is not actively used anymore (https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/FreeTier/freetier_topic-Always_Free_Resources.htm):

Reclamation of Idle Compute Instances: Idle Always Free compute instances may be reclaimed by Oracle. Oracle will deem virtual machine and bare metal compute instances as idle if, during a 7-day period, the following are true:

  • CPU utilization for the 95th percentile is less than 15%
  • Network utilization is less than 15%
  • Memory utilization is less than 15% (applies to A1 shapes only)

What do you do to keep it actively used?
