I sort of hoped that Lemmy communities would have a more original "redditquette" idea to downvoting where downvotes are explained and only done when a post is noise instead of signal. But I guess downvoting as a system will always be "I don't like this opinion/post". It's a shame.

I upvoted this because you posted artwork that you created yourself, which is the point of this community.

Very cool! I love the colors.

Looks like pill-shaped M&Ms mixed into a dough.

DAYM these are amazing! The anatomy, light & shadow, clean marks, style... I love it!

I really like your recent use of stronger color (or more continous regions of color), and also how you manage to make something so abstract look like 3D shapes.

If I may offer a suggestion, the shirt looks like it's paper-thin and appears to kinda float on him. I think it stands out because of the sharp line between the skin and the white shirt where the contrast draws it out.

Your faces are great as always.

Why are they so unhappy? Why are there so many? Why does the woman look like she's controlling a crowd of football hooligans?!

I love it.

These are some good figure drawings! What kind of a process do you take when drawing them?

Don't tell anyone but this was a character design exercise where I got fed up and turned it into a landscape. The sphere was the head.

Very cool use of color.

I also kinda wonder why Lemmy displays the preview sometimes, but not always. Maybe it has to do with image size? Or some metadata? My portfolio uses the non-standard og:image meta tag that usually works.

At first glance this looks like a heart (the actual organ). Overall I like the ones where you tend to go for warm colors with this kind of gradient.

My longest work yet, around 5-6 days I think. I started with a 14 line armature and painted the figure, then tried to decide what to add to each line / knot. Ultimately, I didn't quite manage to use the armature, but it still turned out ok.

Bonus uplemmy to the person who identifies the fighter.

Ideoita?
