I've been watching videos of this game for a bit and it is one of the better designed spooky games I've seen. The constant, random happenings keep it interesting; the simple loop of capturing signals and sending them of keeps things moving.

I tried watching some big youtubers play it, but found that I enjoyed this guy with like 300 subscribers more. Syndrick on YouTube.

My knowledge is limited, but I recall hearing that more seizures are caused by smells than flashing lights. Based off that single fact, perhaps the thing that was triggering you isn't present anymore. Be that person, perfume, or otherwise.

Overly Sarcastic Productions has done a number of videos they call detail diatribes that have focused on Superman. The summary of many of them is that Superman is his most interesting when saving people and not when punching villains. Even in larger team fights, he could save everyone or hold off the threat, but he can't do both so he needs the help of others.

I moved my device too much and accidentally sent secure information to an unknown third party.

Sitting on implies the object being between the body and another object which can be difficult with a part of the body that does not hang loosely.

That said the anus can, in some circumstances, become distended. This would result in the intestines projecting beyond the anus and potential get between the body and another object.

On that scale your beauty is undefined.

Given that the waking candlestick can bend without fatiguing the metal of his form to the point of breaking, it's safe to say there is an active component to the magic that is sustaining their forms.

Given that the feather duster maid was seen to have her feathers forcibly removed, we can also assume they can be damaged and have parts removed.

The question is if they retain their soul, the abstract idea of who they are, in the individual parts of their body or in the collection of the whole.

Depending on the answer, he would either transfer his soul to the new part and assimilate it, fail to integrate the foreign and non-magical part, or grow a replacement part and force the foreign object out of his body.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Fun fact: there are only 14 calendar variations in the Gregorian calendar system. Stand-up Maths by Matt Parker

So, Big Calendar has literally been selling you the same 14 things year after year.

I recall a Zee Bashew video that I can't seem to find that referenced a chart of how willing someone was to help when requested. The idea being the scale isn't from "I will actively hinder you" to "I will sell my estate to aid you" but rather from less then helpful to more helpful.

For example, if you asked some haggard clerk about a quest the scale might be:

  • Critical failure, the clerk directs you to the job board for details on any job.
  • Failure, the clerk may point out there specific job on the board and direct you to it.
  • Success, the clerk tells you that the person who posted the job is staying somewhere in town.
  • Critical success, the clerk may share a rumor they heard in addition to telling you where the poster may be staying.

Regarding a discount from a penny-pinching inn keeper, perhaps it could go:

  • Critical failure, payment for the entire stay is required up front. Extending your stay is not permitted.
  • Failure, They are not willing to lower their prices
  • Success, they will offer a lower price if you bundle extra services like meals, drinks, and baths.
  • Critical success, they will offer you the bundle rate without bundling.

No, but social media is happy to use him.

I made some cupcakes for my niece's birthday. Vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and some edible dinosaur decorations I found when picking up the containers to transport them in. Fairly tasty even if the frosting looked a bit crap-shaped. 💩

Here are the recipes I used:

Garlic salt, pepper, and paprika seasoned pepper jack cheeseburgers with mustard and barbecue sauce on toasted bagel buns.

This is an old photo, from 2018, but it is also one of the best photos I have ever taken of something I cooked. I spent a few days making the burger patties ahead of time and grilling them for lunch. The photo was to share with my coworkers to make them jealous because I lived close enough to work where I could actually cook a decent meal.

I'm currently sorting my backlog of photos, 12 years worth, and tagging them all for easier searching. When I came across this, I wanted to share.

A few years ago a friend gave me an "Urban Shop" glitter lamp as a gift. It was a neat twist on a lava lamp that used LEDs and glitter with a motor that spun the fluid using a magnetic string bar.

While it was a great vibe, it used three AA batteries and the stirring would cycle on and off regularly causing the noise to start and stop, which I found more distracting than just leaving it on.

I found that the on-off switch was actual an on-on switch without a second connection, so I took an old USB cable and hardwired the second switch terminal so that I could power it from a power supply or batteries.

This was a drastic improvement to me, but I didn't like the cord always being attached and the motor cycling was still annoying. Eventually, the lamp ended up on a shelf for a later date.

Today, I pulled the lamp down because I finally tried ESPHome because I keep hearing about it in other people's projects and wanted to finally try the full smart conversion of this lamp. After several hours of trying to reuse the existing surface-mount LEDs and wiring, I gutted the whole damn thing and installed my own 5mm LEDs, rewired the motor, and added a button for controls and wired everything into a Raspberry Pi Pico W I had bought years ago.

Now I have a lamp that can be controlled locally from the button, can be reprogrammed from my computer without moving the lamp, can be controlled from Home Assistant, and performs exactly how I want.

I just finished a project to make my own orb and now I can contemplate properly.

Given how many people treat speed limits as suggestions, at best, having your vehicle obey the limit would turn some people off of them.

Too cold to enjoy or too hot to eat?

With the release of Tapo version 3.0, TP-Link integrates their two lines of smart home devices into a single application, reducing the number of apps needed to control their devices.

Additionally, the update claims improvements to the user interface, optimized camera features, a sleeker status page, and faster responses and startups.

The blow post also suggest that improvements to lighting effects, smart actions, geofencing, and a dark mode will be coming in the future.

I think the best takeaway is that I can have one less app on my phone!
