The "Tell me your only exposure to automatic weapons is Call of Duty" comment got a good chortle out of me.

I was so confused, I thought it was some ridiculous face swap at first glance...

OMG, helping my kid through home schooling during lockdown and I found out what this word meant.... Made my brain go flumph just trying to pronounce it correctly! ;)

Is the Spoot in reference to Angry Beavers?!

Oh, same here. Our eldest daughter sat through playthroughs of Horizon: Zero Dawn, Skyrim, Fallout, Portal 2 etc... Now she's old enough to start her own Skyrim playthrough. The youngest is still so small she thinks she is playing the game if you give her a dead controller/keyboard, so looking forward to many more hours of family gaming.

Almost 12 years for me. Used Baconreader then Sync. Supported the protests in June, and bailed in July when they cut API access. Lemmy gives me what I need in an online community, without the aggression and toxicity that took over Reddit. I feel like I have gained back time to study/ read etc that I used to spend doom-scrolling.

I watched through Lexx (and then re-watched it) in the last couple of years. It's great for something silly that you can switch off to. As long as you don't take it seriously, all the innuendos and low budget scenery become fun and comfy.
