I wouldn’t necessarily agree with that. If you are outraged by something, I think it’s unrealistic to expect other people to explain to you why there is nothing to be outraged about. Otherwise you might as well just walk through life outraged by anything.

Rather, it is your responsibility to take a deep breath and ask yourself, what is it really you are concerned about? And if you deem that serious enough, convince others.

Well, looking at these comments, one thing is clear: the discussion is not going to happen here. I don’t think there was even one comment of substance, which is unfortunate, since the explainer in OP reads sincere to me.

Maybe instead of jumping on the „google bad“ bandwagon, it would be helpful if people point out the specific issues that they are seeing with this.

As it stands, we might just take literally any commit to chromium and paste the same comments below it.

Was in diesem Zusammenhang immer gar nicht diskutiert wird, ist, dass es in Deutschland exakt NULL Anreize vom Staat gibt, eine eigene Immobilie zu erwerben. Das ist der eigentliche Skandal, denn das will man ja eigentlich erreichen - dass der Großteil der Bevölkerung eine realistische Chance hat, ein eigenes Haus zu erwerben oder zu bauen.

Der Gegenteil ist der Fall: wenn ich eine Immobilie kaufe und sie dann vermiete, krieg ich sogar noch Steuern wieder. Also wie immer ein Geschenk für die bereits wohlhabenden.

Crazy to see Dorfromantik here. I played it on steam as a computer game, like 1 year ago, for a bit.

However, it was so … cozy … that I got bored while playing it and returned it. That’s not to say, if you like cozy games, this one is chill.

I wouldn’t call it irrelevant. In my opinion it’s almost a given that long term, this is a bad deal for consumers. If you like video games, you should be rooting for competition, not consolidation.

Microsoft has in the past and will in the future abuse monopoly powers, if one lets them.

The fact that it was challenged at all is a huge step in the right direction. Couple of years ago, the FTC wouldn’t even bat an eye with these mergers. The new chair, Lina Khan seems to be determined to reduce the power of monopolies.

Which is a good thing, if this isn’t obvious.

The problem lies with the complete out of touch judges now.
