I'm assuming you are new to Samsung? They are the kings of junk software.

Safe bet if you are on threads, Lemmy, or Reddit, you're probably pooping.

It's fundamentally backwards. I miss times when tech people ran technology.

Wow. Did not know that. That's crazy. Let's cripple something running on a more powerful processor and with a bigger screen and full keyboard? That's just backwards and terrible.

Anything short of premetherin yard fogging once a month is dicking around.

I was shocked at how little dog stuff there was on Lemmy. I assumed it would be one of the bigger subs. I used to hang out in a sub with just my breed, now I'm with a community the size of a kindergarten class that is just for canines in general.

You've got bigger things to worry about if you are dealing with them.

Curious why you are so comfortable with that?

dog dump sensor? (lemmy.fmhy.ml)

Hey dog nerds / makers. I was surprised to find there isn't a commercial option out there for detecting when a dog is doing a dump. For my pup at least an acellerometer that shows he is motionless and at an angle between standing and sitting should be a pretty good predictor of pooing behavior. I saw some blogs about a guy building something like this in 2014 but nothing further. An old smartwatch seems like a good place to start with this. Any suggestions for an app or way to script this on a galaxy watch? I'm not a coder, but curious to hear some thoughts on this.

Hi dog lovers. Where is everybody? Is there another sub? The cat people are kicking butt.

Little help if you can. My neighborhood is overrun by hungry deer (and we are not allowed to hunt them 😔). I put blood meal on my landscaping to prevent them from eating all my plants but it turns out my dog loves the stuff. He keeps literally eating the mulch and dirt and the plants I flavored for him and digging like crazy too. Any suggestions for a secondary safe treatment that I can put on to keep my little stinker away from the blood meal?

Exactly. If traveling alone hotel every time. As a couple? Hotel gets crampy after about 3nights and not having a kitchen can get to you if you like to cook. Kids? Hell no - no hotel.

Oh man. Here we go. Reddit has a huge pro-flossing bias and it's leaking over with all the refuges apparently. This gets me downvoted to absolute oblivion on reddit and likely will here as well, but I just want to remind everyone this is all anectodotal information. There's not strong evidence that you really need to floss, so don't let these flossers guilt you if it's not your thing. I'm maybe a bit of an anti-dentite I guess, but buzz feed did a nice article on this and many sources also picked up the ap newsfeed on the lack of scientific data for this commonly pushed practice :

Total Lemmy newb. RIF refuge and not going back to reddit. I'm sure responses here will be biased and I know the system is stressed right now I guess, but does this server have a reputation for unreliability? I've been pretty disappointed with the uptime.
