Ah, wasn’t aware Lemmy was saving the whole file uncompressed. I’m linking directly to Flick so I figured they were hosting it all. Not familiar with the architecture on this platform. You would be surprised as this camera body is actually not the high resolution one in this lineup! Thanks for the info.

Taken 08/14 in Central Florida. This mature crane and junior are part of a non-migratory trio I see on the nature trail behind my house almost daily. For those who don't know about their call, I'd liken it to a metallic-sounding rooster! Over time they let me get close with some patience and proper positioning. This was shot with a 70-200mm but they have also given me some 35mm portraits in the past!

Being so early in my photography journey, that really makes me smile! Thanks for the confidence!

Taken 08/12 at Disney's Animal Kingdom (sorry - not traveling to Asia anytime soon). Quite fitting as someone mentioned to me these birds look like the henchmen for a Disney villain! They build interesting hanging nests and I find their sheen and eye color to be eye-catching.

Was out walking the dog just before sunrise and noticed some fat dew drops, so I decided to finally set up for this kind of shot. Macro can be a pain, even with still subjects, but quite rewarding!

Even a morning dew drop can be worthy of our interest!

Probably setting times for the gate to lock

That would be pretty badass!

Testing out my new macro lens on an extremely hot day. This guy didn't seem to mind the baking ground and, in fact, seemed quote noble on his perch! I'd like to think this would be his official portrait.

My wife recently got this cool houseplant that has these almost silver leaves. At macro the texture looked even cooler!

Got the bug (heh) for macro photography this weekend and picked up a good lens for it that also doubles as a nice portrait lens. Overall, I found it to be hard but pretty rewarding and cool! I think I'll be looking at the tiny world often.

Just moved and getting to see all of these new birds on the land behind me. Takes some patience to get this close but they can be interesting!

Walking the trails and this guy settled down right by me. Liked the colors but I ended up liking the details even more!
