Was it gifbox from a Revolt dev?

From the last time I checked, the developer has been figuring out the location tracking API without using google services (unavailable on ROMS like LineageOS and I think GrapheneOS). The map itself used to not display at all if I recall. Happy to see it progressing though.

Hi, all!

I love Linux. I LOVE open source. I suck at designing anything artistic.

I just got into skateboarding and I am going to order a new deck for this old board we have. The deck is a cruiser style with a fish tail.

What FOSS characters or designs/references would be cool to see?

I was just thinking of Tux, but I need some more ideas. Especially for the griptape.

Thanks! This is truly the year of the Linux desktop.

Hi, there. I want to start saving money for my younger sibling so they can go to college easier.

I have financial aid and managed to get a scholarship to pay for a good amount.

I don't spend a lot of money. So I can put some aside every month for the next 5 years. Wouldn't the rates be pretty good to put money into?

Any reasons why I shouldn't be trying this? Should I save for myself or something? The potential earnings seem like a better idea.

Hi, currently setting up basic recording. Would you mind creating a build for Linux? Godot is very versatile in that way.

Thanks! Will post video for download soon.

Edit:

  • audio is key and I love every button press/interaction
  • make sure to make it more clear that you can scroll in the shop
  • linux build would be much appreciated (really really)

I suck at editing so here is the raw footage of my quiet rage.

That would be possible, yes. There might be a small threshold of in-game ads that most people could handle until they decide to fork it though. And of course a disable ads button.

This was always really a pursuit to get my family off of the Google Playstore.

Hi!

This might be an unusual post. Certainly is my first time doing one like this. I'll cut straight to the point.

I want clean and polished FOSS games for the F-Droid repository.

Looking for developers who want to contribute to open source but also want to claim this kind of bounty.

It isn't much at all, but I have a $500 budget. I'm a college student with no more free time to do this myself. This is a goal I still want to see reached though.

The game(s) don't have to be over complex. Just enough to hit that mobile game itch. Maybe I don't know exactly what I want, but something is just missing from these F-Droid games.

If you even have a great mobile game idea, but needed money for assets or motivation.

All I need is a decent Godot developer. Whether you just want to help out the community, a high school student trying to find a gig, or both. Looking for anyone who can put some time into this.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Godot Engine only
  • AGPL Licensing
  • Publish to FDroid under a group name
  • Are okay with limited in-game advertisements (1. on certain games 2. if I find a decent ad system)

PAYMENT OPTIONS

  • Monero
  • Wire Transfer
  • Wise International Transfer
  • Check in Mail
  • Zelle
  • Other?

Send an email if you're interested, but I do want to have comments left here just for future reference.

Some questions to all F-Droid users here:

  • What do you say on the current state of F-Droid games?
  • What separates slop from a good mobile gaming experience?
  • What games do you want to see on F-Droid?

My definition of a mobile game is quick and digestible. Something for an on-the-go and addicting experience.

Tell me your thoughts below. Am I overreaching? Am I underpaying? Should I just make this a game jam? I'm super sick right now so maybe my thoughts are clouded.
