Roughly four months after being run over and rendered bed bound my mom is taking the next step in her recovery. Literally. She's been okayed to start walking. She recently went to her first physical therapy session and is working on getting that leg strength back. Still a ways from walking even with a walker but hey progress is progress.

My lemongrass plant that I tend to neglect is showing signs of life. Seriously I haven't changed the pot or soil of it in at least two years now. Not to mention the amount of times I forget to give it water. It's a miracle the poor thing has lasted this long really. But today I noticed some new growth so that's cool.

Would a door snake work? It's just a long cloth tube filled with something. Similar to the ones you found except it only goes on one side. The down side is that it's not attached to the door in anyway. Everytime you move the door you'd have push it up against the gap again. This also means if everyone leaves the apartment youd have to leave the gap open.

You could always diy it. If you're not concerned on how it looks though I've had decent results with a rolled up towel or two pairs of jeans. It works better if you only shove one leg at a time into the gap. If you're using two pants put them where the foot holes are facing each other. So the hip part is on either end of the makeshift tube.

🤦🏾‍♀️ oh wow. My phone decided to make multiple comments while in my pocket. Sorry about that.

Since I now feel obligated to actually comment here's a pic of a dog I saw recently. I just happened to turn when I saw the cutie staring back at me :) I got a good laugh out of it. So that was nice.

That's where you split difference. Get a functional bag with all the pockets and then accessories with the fun stuff. Put some wacky patches, pins, or stickers on there. Attach some keychains on the zipper pulls. Extra points if they're the mini stuffed animal kind.* You could even decorate the handle and straps. A little or a lot it's all up to you :) Bonus: it let's you show off multiple interests.

*points in my book at least. Becuase I'm a sucker for plushies.

I've always just left it attached to the main part. My family's always sliced the pineapple into disks then cut those into 4ths. You end up with a small part of core per piece.

If you want to get more out of pineapples did you can use the rinds? It's a fermented drink called tepache. It's the rinds of a pineapple, water, and a type of brown sugar called piloncillo. I've never heard of using the core in it but I dont see why you couldn't add it in. I say add because the rind is where the fermenting bacteria comes from.
