China is very effected by climate change, and is doing the most to combat it in the world currently by developing so much renewables. Of course to fully stop climate change we will need at least a majority of people globally's countries to support green efforts, so realistically the brunt of the heavy work of fighting climate change will be done in the global south. I only really see the global north/west/imperial core doing anything when its profitable short term to fight climate change, or if a country in the imperial core has a socialist revolution.
