I watched the German dub of Frieren (I don't speak German) and Lügner had a pretty sexy voice imo.

Looking at the Nix package, it seems like it just enables the Meson flag "enable_gamescope_wsi_layer" and adds the package "vulkan-headers" to the build inputs. Looking at the AUR package it uses vulkan-headers but idk what meson flags it uses.

I had this issue when I was using -F fsr, you could try disabling that if you're using it. I also have to do ENABLE_HDR_WSI=0, since I have that enabled for MPV but setting it to 1 makes Gamescope break.

My current launch options are ENABLE_HDR_WSI=0 DXVK_HDR=1 gamescope -f -H 2160 --force-grab-cursor --hdr-enabled --hdr-debug-force-output --hdr-itm-enable -- env MANGOHUD=1 %command%. I may also have ENABLE_GAMESCOPE_WSI=1 set as well, you could try that.

Using NixOS with Linux 6.8, Plasma 6.1, gamescope-wsi_git, and an RX 7600.

Yes, every video you download or stream is actually compressed quite a lot, the bitrate just determines how much compression is applied. Higher bitrate means the file is bigger and less compression is done, while low bitrate means the video has a lot less bits to store all that data and so has to do more compression.

If you're looking for a similar type of game, I played GRIS recently which reminded me quite a bit of this.

Since that gpu has 24 GB of vram the game might be using more than it really needs, just because it can. The best way to test the importance of vram would be to get two cards of the same tier with different vram amounts (like the A770 8GB and 16GB) and see how that impacts performance.

I was struggling with handling dialogue for a point-and-click game, has anyone tried Ink or other dialogue plugins? I tried both DialogueManager and Bonnie, and while Bonnie seemed nicer they both were kinda clunky.

I switched to NixOS almost two years ago, and it's really nice being able to define my whole system in a single set of config files. If my hard drive dies or I switch computers, I can just reinstall NixOS using my config files and everything will be set up the exact same way. It's extremely solid and I don't need to baby my system because if it breaks I can just reinstall everything back to normal.

And I can share parts of the config between devices, so when I change my Neovim or VSCodium configs using Home-Manager it gets synced to my other devices, as well as being saved as part of my NixOS config files.

Cool "game" where you compare two fonts and pick which one you prefer, until you've narrowed it down to your favorite font.

Wayland all the way, 120 hz Freesync monitor with 60 hz second monitor works perfectly on KDE Plasma with AMD. No fussing about with X11 configs or worrying about if the compositor is active or not, it just works.
