How is the Jellyfin software situation looking? Last time I checked it was pretty meh compared to plex. if I recall correctly the best app was Infuse and it was a monthly sub. Are there better options these days? I mostly watch plex on my TV through Android or Apple TV.

iOS developer here and I would switch in a heartbeat but unfortunately it’s not about the OS, it’s about the software that runs on the OS.
Most devs wont build for an OS that doesn’t have an audience. And users will put up with a lot of OS junk for their apps.
So it’s gonna be up to someone to make a linux phone and use their wallet to kickstart a software ecosystem. One won’t happen without the other, at least not at the scale of Google or Apple.
Dev license just gives you the ability to publish on the AppStore and access Apple support I think.
Their dev tools (ie Xcode and Swift) are free.
You can but it’s annoying as the devs still have to pay Apple $100 a year for a dev license.
You can get around 30FPS but you have to deal with heavy FSR artifacting and it looks terrible.
Agreed. We don’t need it to perform like an RTX 5090 but just a smidge more power would get a ton of recent games into playable frame rates. I still don’t know how people play BG3 on the deck.

Eric has been toiling from a secret remote location to refine the post layout and bring you some highly-requested customization options. Check out the settings to see what's new!
Weston has been polishing the voiceover and dynamic text features and implemented the first version of blocking users (currently done via posts).
Mormaer has been tweaking the session authentication and refreshing... you shouldn't be logged out without warning anymore. Be advised, due to these changes you will have to log in again upon first launch.
He also built a new account switcher that now lives in the settings screen (we are planning to revisit this soon, we aren't huge fans of the new location either but we needed it out of the home screen).
Darknavi and Jo have been helping out with PR reviews, bug fixes and lots of behind the scenes ops stuff.
BUG FIXES
Lots of tiny stuff here, not gonna add them all, but mostly just spit and polish getting ready for the AppStore.

For Apple we need to finish up some reporting entry points and get the about page updated to take care of license commitments. We are aiming to be under review my Friday, but that might change.
