Honestly, the headphone jack days are gone and there's not a lot we can do about it.
And honestly? Wireless Bluetooth headphones/earbuds are good enough now that I don't see a need for wired ones though so I don't see what the issue ism
Literally everything. I hate living under a system where my options are
- repeatedly consume products which cause death and the destruction of our environment
- move out into the woods and live as an isolated hermit
- die
I'm...I'm just so tired.
This seems like the best compromise to me as well.
Is this not solved by using the "unstable" nixpkgs channel or is that something different?
I'm a NixOS newbie and still learning a lot about it haha
🤷, as long as you give attribution, it doesn't matter in my opinion.
I'm not sure if Snapchat counts but I use that because it's basically just Texting 2.0.
I always felt like NSFW should be broken down two categories:
- sexual content
- graphic content (like gore or gross stuff)
FOSS becoming mainstream would be so good for humanity's future...I think we're a long way off from that being more than a dream though.
I'll just keep doing my part by trying to convince my friends to go Linux though lol.
Also running NixOS on my laptop. It took longer to configure than most distros since I had to learn more, but now that I understand the ecosystem better I feel like I can tinker with it so much faster that I'd be able to otherwise.
Definitely a distro for more developer types who are fine figuring stuff out in their own, but if it works for you then it really works for you.
Whatever it is I don't associate with it because I've always found those to be a bit cringe.
+1 for fish shell. The lack of POSIX compliance really doesn't matter at all day-to-day, but all the qol features that the shell has absolutely do matter and they are so worth it.
