As a rider who has a 300 watt ebay front drive wheel jammed into the slot on the front fork where the old quick release front wheel went, I do occasionally worry that at some point it's gonna go pniaow, and the bike will plow fork-first at 30kph (16mph) into the ground, suitably ejecting its 72kg (¾ mean US adult) and 24v 20Ah Lithium Polymer battery in a conical arc.

How strong are those aluminium slots?

You might just need two versions. The full colour one where the underlying medium supports it well, and a mono version for more restrictive media.
