Tinder is very superficial and a hard platform to find people on. The gender ratio is very skewed and it turns against itself, since the competition for attention is so hard. This benefits the app though, since it makes peopel waste money on superlikes and whatnot - so they won't ever try to fix it.

You definitely aren't too old to date around and have fun meeting people. Mingling around in real life might be easier, since you don't have to rely on a single picture and a few lines of text to impress someone.

An aboslutelty wonderful timewaster has been Brotato. Someone described my relationship to it quite well: it's like solitaire. Whip it out every now and then for a quick timewaster, win or loose, it's fun.

Boltgun was great too! So much Warhammer-infused fun.

"Dude just talking to people, everyone can do that".

Thanks, that's a great start! Anything to give Citadels some run for its money. Not sure of Oriflamme was 5 max. Gotta try to get that game on a loan again, it was quite fun.

Ghost Stories is stellar for solo play, as long as you don't mind getting dunked on

Lotr LCG is the best solo game along with Mage Knight that I have ever played. It's a smaller game when on the table, but a massive game in terms of investment (time and money).

Hey, cool stuff! Thanks for the review! I'd love reviews of mid-priced, medium box games that scale well with players, or games that support 6+ players and are not drafting or social deduction.

The huge box games filled with plastic figures are a chore to drag to a game night and are hard to table.

https://www.music-map.com/ can help a bit. It knows surprisingly underground bands.

Random browsing on Bandcamp can produce results too.

Depends on how progressive you want to go, as when you are bordering on noise, ambient and other fringe genres, there are lots of bands with little fame.

I have a single album from "Lento" that is pretty cool. Post-rock, powt hardcore, post metal kinds stuff.

Nero Di Marte is on the more extreme side, but flirts with prog.

Oranssi Pazuzu is prog and black metal together. Weird stuff, but good.

And a long time favourite: Circle. Lots of different kinds of albums, most pretty great. Awesome if you can catch them live.

Edit. More stuff and typos

There's this noiserock/prog group called Fushitsusha. The songs are long, winding and sometimes grinding romps. They have some traditional Japanese elements mixed in as well.

If you don't know about Mono, go have a listen. Especiall Hymn to the Immortal Wind. Stuff brings tears to my eyes.

Yeah, I think that loosing access to great communities like OSR, Boardgames, RPG, Horror and horrorlit will hurt, but I'm hoping to find new ones too, with fresh new people and new ideas.

Absolutely great news. RedReader was my go-to app for a while now. The absolute dedication to function over form is/was praise-worthy.
