Sleep is also really annoying but wasn’t that big of a deal breaker.

This sentence really confused me.

Oh, I thought it was a meme similar to the old "Bush or chimp"-days, back when dubya was president, and was thinking: "surely they could have found a monkey that looked more like Elmo" but that's not the point of these pictures, it seems 😕

Nurses, teachers, fire, EMTs

I,too, wanted to become fire when I grew up. Turns out it's not a real job. Instead I became disappointed.

This seems like a logical step, both as a political counter move to the US limiting Huawei and TikTok, and as an actual security measure. If the Chinese state can get intel from Huawei devices, surely the US can get intel from iphones. I'm surprised they didn't include Microsoft.

Edit: a word.

Cool. I'll look into this. I haven't used Lutris much, since Heroic has been launching most of my non-Steam games just fine.

Hogwarts Legacy for me. I've watched a friend play it on PS5, and it looks really cool. I'm considering getting it on Steam while it's on sale, but I'm guessing it will be the same discount when the autumn sale comes along.

Opening bottles with your phone used to be a thing too. Most used Nokias from the 32/3310 era in Denmark have scratches at the bottom from people not doing I properly. I've seen some people open beer with iPhones, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Pretty much, yeah.

You grab the neck of the bottle tightly with your dominant hand so your finger a thumb is holding the cap tightly. Then you take the lighter in the other hand and wedge it in between the dominant hand and cap. Squeeze tightly and use the lighter as a lever.

Cigarette lighters don't explode that violently if they're punctured. The greatest hazard would probably be getting plastic in your eye. If you do it wrong the lighter usually just gets scratched.

In Germany it was opening a beer bottle with anything you just happened to have in your hand at that time.

This goes for Denmark too.
