Michelle Carter was convicted of manslaughter for encouraging her boyfriend to commit suicide by text

If I had my way, regulations would require a physical connection for all door handles, and not just that a secondary physical release be available. I don't know how you would go about finding injuries associated with each design as a layperson, but I bet there's a death or two associated with each novel design.

An old man roasted in his Cadillac XLR because the battery was dead and he didn't know where the secondary release was. I think it's under the seat on that car. I don't care how cool that electronic door release was, or if the old man was negligent in not knowing his exits; it wasn't worth his life.

So all you have to do is go to your own auction and bid the car well above its value. Once you owe yourself more than you owe the car company, you can file a title 27i to legally remove 50% of your name and transfer that value from the worth of your name contract to settle all remaining debt.

Then you can walk away with the car, and usually, your legal name gets cooler anyway. I used to be JEFFERY POUTINE but now I'm just JEF POUT. It even fits on a standard 7 digit international non-commercial traveling placard!

That's how I like to see us too, but I've definitely met some Z hating millennials.

I met a fellow "old millennial" recently who said "we're the last generation to be raised right". I disagree, but hearing it from a guy my age really cemented me in old man status.

Then he told me he had 3 kids. Who's responsible for raising that generation!? Lol.

It's a good reminder of how influenced we are by our surroundings, even when we try to be aware of the effect. Or maybe especially when we try to be aware.

I was staying strong until I saw they were already sundowning windows 10. 10! They just came out with that shit. I have no intention of upgrading to the latest advertising package.

It certainly creates an incentive to act in ways that please the customer at the expense of the business. But the restaurant controls your access to the customer, so it's best to tread lightly.

It's been a long time, but I used to work at a corporate dining place that did a lot of take out business. I once had a man ask for "as much thousand island dressing as possible".

I was going to just give him two portions, but my coworker convinced me to fill a large soda cup instead. Why not? We worked for tips after all.

The customer was pretty bewildered. He clearly didn't really want that much dressing.

Flashlight is an S6 with Osram W1. The mount is designed to aim at about 10 degrees down from the level of the top of the stem, whatever that is. With the Osram the hotspot ends about 20' out.

Losing a friend is so hard. It affected me in ways I never expected. Family is easier in some ways.

The kind people are out there, but they're harder to see sometimes, especially on the internet. Hang in there, and be kind to yourself.

Another thing about automotive (and probably most industries) is that large portions of the labor are contracted through agencies. Even most entry level engineers are contract now. So that figure doesn't include many of the lower paid positions in these facilities.

From left to right:

S2+ TI - XHP50.3 4000k - 4A convoy 6V

S2+ - 519a 2700k dedomed - 5A Convoy CC

S2 - Triple 219c 4000K (FW3A) - 5A Convoy CC

S8 - SFQ65 3000k - Dr. Jones H17Fx

Roche F12 - 519a 4500k - 5A Convoy CC

S2 - Osram CSLNM1 - 5A Convoy CC

S6 - 519a 3500k dedomed - 5A Convoy CC

The boost driver (S2+ TI) and Dr. Jones (S8) are staying where they are, but I plan to replace the constant current drivers with buck drivers. I'm also going to make the S6 a triple with the same 519a 3500K dedomed, swap the 219C Triple for a spare XPL HI from my other FW3A, and trade the Osram for an SFT40; all three of those will get 8A drivers, and the others 5A.

I know the Roche isn't really a Convoy. But I got it from Simon, and they're all just tubes after all.

XHP50.3 HI 4000K, 6V 4A driver, 20° beaded optic, Sapphire glass from esslinger, the larger convoy switch with a custom printed spacer, black button and clip.

I'd still like to find another clip I like better, but so far I keep coming back to the press on convoy clip. Before this setup I had a Dr. Jones H17Fx with XHP50.3 HD and OP reflector. That setup went into an S8, which I think suits it a little better.
