I usually just switch it from auto to 1080p or whatever is available and that fixes it 90% of the time, sometimes it takes a second or 2 to fix the quality though.

didn't know libredirect could redirect to Freetube, I've just been having mine go to an Invidious Instance... I'll have to look into this.

I'm a little confused, mine is setup in the same way you described I believe and accessing the subdomain without any additional port still forwards it correctly to the destination ip:port.

Hey that's me!

One thing I noticed is I never updated the app icon customization section. You don't need Asapticons/Icon mixer. Themepark has an option to add custom icons now!

I can also post my De-Bloater config (root only)/list of apps (that can be used to disable them via ADB) I've removed when I update the post in a bit.

I'm still on Fold3/OneUI 5.1 but apps should be similar.

Yeah, I have a quite aggressive pihole and a lot of the domains it says aren't blocked are 100% blacklisted in pihole (and testing them gives an error message so they are blocked...)

Mull (Firefox) + uBlock + PiHole.

There's not really an elegant way to do this because of HTTPS.

You can use a browser extension like Privacy Redirect to do this though (and/or set up SearXNG to do it however this will only redirect you from search results of Youtube.com on that SearXNG instance).

I use APKgrabber just because it automatically checks for all my installed apps but this seems like a better option if you spend the time to set it up.

Agreed, Thunder has been great. I just wish I could have vote/reply buttons on comments instead of only swipe gestures...
