Think of it like laying rows of bricks. If the bottom row is uneven or off in some way, it's going to throw every row above it off.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a cop that put it there. At least in the U.S. Do Irish police have as much of a nazi problem?

Yep. The one time Jesus got violent in the Bible, it was against the money lenders.

I'm still trying to bring back Mega Virginia.

I wouldn't say No Country for Old Men starts that way. That scene is a good ways into the movie.

The show stays pretty true to the books, but there's enough differences that I'd recommend starting with book 1.

Biggest change I can think of is Drummer. The show's Drummer is like 3 or 4 characters from the books rolled into one. Book Drummer had a smaller roll.

When did I mention Asimov? And on Ayn Rand, I meant that she and Heinlein had similar shitty right-Libertarian takes sometimes.

Not enough underaged incest orgies? Or not enough Ayn Rand shit-takes?

I discovered Pratchett as a teenager, instantly fell in love. His novels definitely influenced me as a person later in life, and I'm happy for it.

And not one of them was while going down stairs. Bummer.

That would be true if electoral votes were proportional to states' populations. As it is now, your vote counts (I think) six times more if you live in Wyoming vs if you live in California.
