Separate it from Disney. (financially, legally, ethically, forcefully...)

You mean the placebo button?

Placebo buttons at stoplights are by no means limited to the United States. In places like Hong Kong and London, some buttons work only at certain times of day (if at all).

Actual Budget is an open-source envelope-style budgeting tool similar to YNAB. It has a self-hostable syncing service so that you can manage your budget across multiple devices.

The reason you might want to do this is that it's probably easier to do full account review sitting at your computer, but you might want to track expenses/receipts on your smartphone while you're away from home.

OK, what do monkeys or other non-human things have to do with a human asking themselves the question, "what is my purpose?"

My response is given in the context of the original, not in a vacuum.

So is the question, "what is my purpose"?

The response is human-focused because the question is human-focused.

If you wanted to ask the question about some other creature, then the answer would not be anthropocentric.

You are (presumably) a human.

Without you, the world is merely a collection of things, with no collector.

A hammer has a purpose, when it is used (by a human) to drive nails.

A keyboard has a purpose, when it is used (by a human) to type.

A shovel has a purpose, when it is used (by a human) to plant a tree.

Without the human these things cannot be used, and do not have purpose.

You are not a thing. You do not have a purpose.

You are that which gives purpose.

You are purpose.

My introduction to this was through the video, so it felt appropriate to share here. I'm sure this is a reupload and I saw it somewhere else earlier than 2012.

You can actually play with it on the creator's website:

Using only pieces from the original set.

This popular successor to the original Turbo Encabulator has now been itself succeeded by the impressive Hyper Encabulator. There seems to be no end to clever innovation in the important field of encabulation.
