Im not saying sticking with windows is the better option. Im just saying people should stop acting like it's a one and done switch with no extra effort needed.

They have been suffering for years and never thought once about alternatives like Ubuntu

The average user is pretty unaffected by windows' enshitification. And if it doesn't fuck over their daily life, most people are more than happy to keep using the thing they're familiar with. Especially when switching would require not only learning one new thing, but a large number of new things. For example, do you use paint.net? Sucks to suck, time to find a Linux alternative and learn how to use it and hope it can do everything you need it for.

Linux fanatics like to pretend its as simple as installing a different OS and that's it, everything else in your workflow will work immediately with no research needed. But that's simply not true.

I think there's a term for that.

Is it suicide when somebody goes to war for their country despite the very real possibility they may die?

Rather than calling people dumb, has it ever occurred to you that maybe they're simply ignorant of a very recent AI trend?

Ignoring the absurdity of suggesting than an LLM can commit suicide, is it suicide if you continue doing something that somebody threatens you over?

Sometimes I wish I had read a spoiler so bad that I lost all interest in continuing the show. The eventual disappointment I would have been saved from...

It's a good thing we got rid of all those unqualified DEI hires!

There's no need to protect yourself with gloves, as not even deadly contaminants want to be near math.

I agree. Poor choice of words on my part.

I think the problem with this is, nobody really wanted Biden or Harris. They were just the best we had. Like, nobody is going to listen to Harris now. But people love Trump, so he doesn't have that issue.

Edit: The democratic party does not care what their voters want, they need only provide the lesser of two evils to get votes. They believe that so much, that Harris' entire campaign was to talk about what Trump was going to do rather than what she was going to do. "Look at all these things Trumps gonna do, at least I'm not him!"

Another edit: Indeed, as multiple of you have pointed out, "the best we had" was a poor choice of words. Hell, I think even Walz was a better choice, so it's not exactly like you need to go looking far for one.
