Makes sense and probably all companies that do regional pricing have a rule for this, Steam explicitly states to not do this as well

You agree that you will not use IP proxying or other methods to disguise the place of your residence, whether to circumvent geographical restrictions on game content, to order or purchase at pricing not applicable to your geography, or for any other purpose. If you do this, Valve may terminate your access to your Account.

Looks more like a bug than performance problem. Anyways start menu search has felt worse ever since Windows 8. For the most part it works, but occasionally you get random issues like these.

Things like PowerToys Run offer a much better search experience.

Anything that is an executable on PC (software / games) due to security risk. Game ROMs for emulators are fine.

I do not see where the violation can be if all this data sharing / selling has been explained by reddit and only info that is shared are your posts and comments, not your mail address or IP address.

Why would you even consider that platform where you publicly post things would not be able to do something with that info. Anyone being able to read this comment is also a violation?

It is, specifically MS Edge WebView. For example new MS Teams and new Outlook client are using WebView. Widgets are using it as well as do many other things.

This uninstall will most likely still keep Edge present, it will just be somehow hidden / not as easily accessible.

Good for her, but it's not like she spent her childhood in jail. Useless article in my opinion, without any details. Maybe she had a perfect childhood.

Have never seen this as a consumer though. I remember buying a laptop 10 years ago without OS since it was cheaper than same model with preinstalled Windows. Checked a random laptop and same still applies, version with Windows costs 30 eur more in my local webshop for what seems to be the same model with same specifications (No English available, use translate if needed):

There's a handy extension on both Firefox and Chromium browsers called Web Archives made by dessant / Armin Sebastian. You can right click on any URL and try to find cached copy on multiple services like Archive.org, Google cache and many more.

There is another cool extension from same dev called Search by Image that can search any image across multiple reverse image search engines.

Replace Lemmy in your text with Facebook, Discord, Telegram or any other forum like group or simply imagine someone posting here to go to Reddit instead, seems a bit spammy doesn't it?

In Latvia there was a kebab chain called "Pakistan kebab". Around 1 year ago most if not all places closed / changed name to multiple other variations one of them being "Indian kebab".

Gonna take a guess, but it probably was a good client and for many people it was the most enjoyable method to access reddit with it. For me it was Sync, now called "Sync for Lemmy"

install only stock AOSP Android

In what world would this be a good idea? I much prefer OneUI over AOSP for example. Option to easily opt-in for unlocking bootloader and flash stock ROM would be a good thing though.
