You define your own meaning of life. Whether you are Atheist, Christian, Muslim, Jew, or whatever, that is still true. If you want to be high literally all the time, go nuts and have fun with it - but please note, it sounds like you don't, not really?

Consider possibly joining a support group, to help you through working that all out, by hearing stories of others who are further ahead on that path than you? Plus you may be surprised that you could be further ahead along it than you thought.

And yeah the world really does seem fucked, but so what? Don't use that as an excuse to give up, if you would rather have more fun standing up on your own two feet. The world may burn (and freeze, and more likely alternate rapidly between both extremes), but you still get to decide what you want to do about it!:-P

Maybe watch the movie Braveheart, as William Wallace (Mel Gibson) gets eviscerated at the end, knowing full well that he could have chosen to avoid it, but instead choosing to value his pride... and freedom. We all die, every single person who has ever lived has died up until now (barring weird freak events like someone time-traveling from the past beyond us into the future:-P), but you get to choose how you want to LIVE.

Confidence and Knowledge are anti-correlated... so please, be proud of the extent of your ignorance:-).

This is the way...

Exactly! More and more products can be added - like now we are hearing about Fedi-wikis (from the original Lemmy developer iirc), and ofc there will be Threads (whether we dread it or not!), so the Fediverse (iirc, defined basically as anything that uses the ActivityPub protocol?) is growing up, spurred onwards by the ongoing demise of Reddit even if started long before. :-)

There really has been nothing even close to it since. I hoped OnePlus would at least be a fairly clean flagship killer, but then the cofounder left it enshittified so bad. The Nexus was the BEST!

So now cows don't exist either huh? :-P

Thank you for the suggestion. So far I've just taken to saying "Fediverse", perhaps I'm holding out hope for still more clients in the future:-)? Also it's shorter than Lemmy/Kbin/Mbin:-).

Likewise I also moved on from Kbin. Obviously we have no power over that project, that belongs solely to the person who created it, but we do control our own actions. e.g. I used to sing the praises of the Fediverse and go out of my way to not equate it with Lemmy - always saying like Lemmy/Kbin. Now I still do the former but I actively tell people that Kbin might not be a good match for them. Ernest has kept it as alpha version software - which is fine, there is a need for such things, and it will become great, someday... hopefully. But today is not that day, and that is super good for people to know, e.g. that they don't have to leave the Fediverse entirely to get a more functional experience, just Kbin.social.

It is so creative! Like, is he good/redeemed, or rather still has evil/maladaptive qualities even if harnessed to now be put to better use for the benefit of himself + (a wider, larger) society, or is the situation far more complex than that? It is definitely one that sticks with you:-).
