Every time it's been outside the house, or as needed (fingerprints etc). I use alcohol-based disinfectant on a piece of soft paper towel.
My cat is less scared of the robot vacuum than regular vacuums. Possibly because it is small and moves in a predictable pattern?
In my opinion, that's just another benefit.
