My company closed its Scarborough location, they opened a new plant in Hamilton. I was going to commute to the new plant. Everyone, including upper management told me how stupid that was. We have to run our logistics during the night because the truck drivers refused to drive in traffic during the day. Truck drivers... How bad is the traffic if truck drivers are refusing

I was in Ecuador, the wife wanted to visit the Galapagos. We get into the country at like 1am and the tour operator sends a car to pick us up and I can't even remember the name of it, it was a 6 letter brand. Anyway the interior was beautiful, and the driver is streaming 80s music videos on his radio from YT. Totally legal for them apparently. So I ask him what the hell this car is, and he says you can't get it in North America, but it was a Chinese EV and I was so impressed with it. When I asked what he paid for it, I understood why they don't want these cars in North America. Who the hell would ever buy a car from a domestic manufacturer ever again.
The governor's and the premieres got together after Ford tried to pull the plug and talk of that has ceased. So deals were made in that case I think.
Yup, with ya brother. I have Microsoft certifications dating back to NT4. I've never been bothered by anything Microsoft has done, with the possible exception of WinME. I have done thousands of installs for friends and family. When MS started actively preventing me from installing W11 to "older" hardware and requiring a login, I started looking into Linux. I had run Slackware in the 90s so figured Arch couldn't be that bad... It was actually easier than I remembered.
That was 2 years ago. This past weekend my Dad had somehow been force upgraded even though I had group policies in place to prevent upgrades past 22H2, and he wasn't happy with the result. Brought Linux Mint, booted from the USB and asked him to do everything he normally does on Windows. Almost all of his activities are browser based so I installed it and have yet to get any calls asking questions.
When the StarWars prequels came out. I was wishing Mel Brooks would release "Spaceballs -1"
I was on Effexor XR Max Dose, and one day when I realized that it had effectively killed all feelings I stopped cold turkey, zero side effects. My doctor thinks I have a very high drug tolerance, to the point that anything I'm put on nowadays is just started at close to the max dose. I'm on a drug right now that is prescribed at a level that would normally result in death for most people, and he thinks I can go higher if I need to.
Downside is pain drugs don't work, at all. He told me they'd need to give me IV pain meds if I really needed any pain suppression.
My wife likes cuddles but is Chinese and has this weird hatred towards fans. I can't understand it, so I have to have the fan blowing only halfway in my direction lest the evil fan blow at her as well
I was in Ecuador recently, Quito which is 9350ft. The second the plane door opened, I felt it. Leaving the plane the air was so thin I could barely stand up. The altitude sickness was alot more for me than "being tired". And I had started altitude sickness pills 2 days before my flight.
