Sounds like a win-win-win. A win for EU, a win for the UK and a gigantic loss framed as a win for the US
This graph probably not, but it's one of the reasons why south east asian countries like Vietnam also got slapped with hefty tariffs. Not to mention the nefarious Penguin Kingdom.
I hope the bollard is safe
I wasn't aware he had said that, but I independently concluded it actually was a good time to buy and increased my main position. Nothing earth shattering, but I did feel like an absolute genius for like 10 minutes while having my morning coffee today.
I think the EU has largely abandoned the high road with the moralizing finger and just focuses on navigating this world without imploding or tearing itself apart. The moral high ground hardly changed the world for the better so better to just focus on what's required for your own stability and prosperity.
Trump can raise them to 1000% and China won't care too much. It will hurt, sure, but China has all the cards. They've been preparing for this since Trump v1.0 and know exactly where to hit the US. And they have already proceeded with a surgical strike you don't read much about. It's not a tariff increase, it's more a bureaucratic measure. They sent all US buyers of certain rare earth metals required for high tech electronics to the back of the queue of buyers. Not an outright block, just "extra investigation" required before rubber-stamping the export, indefinitely if need be.
As that sysadmin, I get the message to contact my system administrator more often than I would like. Each time my reaction is "Well, shit..."
Carrot or stick. Even Trump should be able to understand the choice laid out before him. Whether he cares is something else, being so disconnected from anything resembling reality or sanity.
I've been using an MX3 for years and I can't imagine not using it at this point. It's brilliant.
