I had radicale running for some years, it was finicky to set up I remember doing a fix in the code. But when it worked it did so without issues. Not sure how active development was in the last years maybe it has improved.

Thank you so much for this suggestion. It's really a great step towards the end of tedious voice messages. Works great but is a bit slow when using the multilang voice model. I don't mind.

Mailbox.org is great, I like that you get caldav and carddav as well. They're very privacy conscious as well. It's true the recent price increase doesn't make me happy either. The service is great and I couldn't find a better deal so I stick with them. Except for the price everything is perfect imho

Oh that's cool! I tried to take part in their beta but it was a mix of the app wouldn't even start on my phone and when I finally found a version that would I couldn't find my invite key anymore. Guess it's time to give it a second chance :)

Professionally I love Logseq but I'd love to replace my personal Notion notes..

Wow, the minecraft community was huge on reddit. I'm really sad to see it get dispersed. Also I really don't think discord is a good alternative. Let's hope the community finds a great new home..

Thx for mentioning infomaniak, I'm looking for alternatives to Mailbox.org as they had to increase their prices. I've tried self hosting but somehow it always has been a hassle, might be just me though. Also mailinabox wasn't around back then. I've got my domain at namecheap, they've got all the tools and a super cheap whoisguard service. Prices depend on the tld you're looking for, so you'll have to look it up.

I think a software based solution using keycloak should be possible as well

Get a usb dongle that contains the key and handles the crypto without exposing the key to the host (eg yubikey is popular). This way your secret travels with you and you have one key for all. Be sure to have a script ready for revoking the key on all machines in case you loose it :)
