I don’t think the just stop oil people are advocating a sudden immediate and 100% stopping of oil use…

Rather an aggressive elimination of our reliance on oil.

No doubt fiscal policies put this (and other) councils on the back foot, but it’s reductive to ignore that the thing that tipped them over the edge was bureaucratic incompetence combined with being fucked by the Oracle Corporation.

What are the multiple purposes of this vehicle?

Just looks like a jacked up six seater truck.

The original had to be one of the most underrated (or just undermmarketed?) games of all time.

Absolutely fantastic RPG.

A no bullshit approach well done Norway!

Although it seems strange that altering teeth colour is excluded.

Finally a proper vertical tabs option!

Personal preference ofc but after trying it on a whim I can’t go back.

TLDR because their owners are more likely to use them.

Meh, time for another fork.

To those people saying switch to MySQL, they miss the point - MySQL and Maria are basically interchangeable, Maria was made to replace MySQL like for like when oracle took over. It was made by the same guy (et al) and he he named both after his daughters.

When Maria is taken over the same thing will happen. I for one hope that it is named for Widenius’ other child, max.

Murena offer a degoogled /e/os version of the fairphone 5.

I’m wondering if there are any catches… eg

  • have google privacy issues been replaced with murena ones?
  • would we still expect the 8-10 years of updates?
  • would there be any driver issues eg worse camera/face unlock/fingerprint experience?

Also if anyone has had one (murena or stock) since launch, how is it working out?

Haven’t played fifa but understand that loot boxes are basically gambling. Arguably worse than gambling because with gambling at least you might win something “real”.

Curious though - there was a screenshot in the article where you could preview a loot box before buying - does that not make it more like “buying” the players instead of “gambling” for them?

Google preferring https sites was the motivator I saw for client demands.

SEO scores feed into the PPC cost in AdWords so all of a sudden people were crying out for their sites to “have the padlock icon” because what’s 20 bucks for a cert when you’re spending thousands of dollars a month

After too much time spent on google I finally found this lightweight GUI + CLI tool that finds locally installed games (yes including non-steam games running under proton) and thought I'd spread the gospel!

Combeined with something like dropbox/onedrive/nextcloud, or rsync/borg/syncthing etc you've got yourself cloud backups too.

Zero configuration involved so far on my Steam Deck which is nice as well.

Forgive me if it's old news ☺️

Just came across this on an old wish list, had completely forgotten about it!

Think I mustn’t have fancied paying full whack at the time as I wasn’t interested in the multiplayer or the dlc hype etc (I know, I know).

Anyway well worth a couple of bucks and saves the many now-unloved copies out there becoming trash so thought I’d share in case anyone else missed out!

Looking for a new notes app that will sync with the notes that are stored with my email provider eg gmail and custom email provider.

Similar to how the Apple notes apps work, but ideally cross platform (osx/win/Ubuntu).

I’ve noticed there are lots of notes apps that use their own formats and data sources, but struggling to find something that will work without having to host another service or rely on Onedrive/Google/iCloud etc.

Any recommendations gratefully received!
