Idk about that. Probably these so called borrowed words from Italian, are actually of Latin origin, like so many words in so many European languages.

When I was a kid, I learned about negative numbers pretty early on. It was a perfectly normal part of life, since the temp was in the negative a lot of the year. Made sense to me. Temp is below zero? Water is solid. . Temp above zero? Water is liquid. Fahrenheit doesn't make much sense to me, inherently, because I don't have an integral frame of reference, built over decades of familiarity. Celcius on the other hand, it just makes sense!

To me, it clearly seemed to be directed at the mayor.

Don't assume so much about me please. This other guy sent me a link about how cheney wanted to balkanize China and Russia, and maybe that's not the worst idea. But it got me thinking. Why stop there? Balkanize the US too why not. They are, all three, too big and ducked up anyway. Also, an outsiders perspective, remember? I don't really have a dog in this fight. Ofc the world will suffer bigly, if Trump, and the fascists backing him, gets their will. But we all know this. So why not at least try to focus on a glimmer of compassion once in a while?

Yeah sure. You are probably right. But also not the main part of the problem? I mean, I'm not trying to paint her as a savior or a saint, but she's also not actively trying to dismantle the system, right? There's a lot of that going around, from way too many of her colleagues, as far as I can tell. Idk, it just seemed like a nice thing, for someone to call out many of these horrid tendencies we've been seeing lately, and as far as hypocrites go, you can find way worse than Liz Cheney.

This is purely an outsiders perspective here, but I've never really had much control over what my dad did in his life. Is it different in the US?

It's definitely Van Damme, even got the forehead bump and everything. Honestly an impressive attention to detail

So according to this thread, 50% of people got affected by the dotcom bubble, right?

Yeah i did something similar, though mostly bc i was confused about the whole instance thing. Made three or four accounts over the first few days. I kept forgetting the password, or didn't really understand what an instance meant, or how to log on via Connect. Now that's done with, I just stick to one account
