Simple—just don't pay for the premium tier. Free one is good enough for most.

Top part from Twitter, bottom from Facebook. I get it's supposed to be funny but meh 😕 I wish they made it more believable.

So I have an update. On Firefox and Arc clearing website data and cookies fixed it. On Chrome going to lemm.ee show me as not logged in, but hitting refresh after the page is loaded shows me logged in. Idk what's causing it 🤷‍♂️

So I tried this and it helped on Firefox and Arc, which now I can stay logged in (FF had the issue of just loading an error with the site, maybe old cookies or something?). However, on Chrome I still have the same issue even after clearing cookies and site data. I'll try looking if there's any extensions messing with it. Thank you for your help!

If I close all lemm.ee tabs that I have opened for a session it always logs me out and I have to relog, which is so annoying, especially after having 2FA enabled. Is this only me or has nobody else reported this issue?

~~Also, why is there no "Prev" button after clicking on "Next" at the bottom of a page? I get using the back button, or shortcut but sometimes it's convenient to click it, or even just to know if you've scrolled to another page.~~ OK so apparently this is an intentional Lemmy change that removed it. Hard disagree, but oh well.

"Oh hey buddy, I don't think you should have the same rights as everyone else and you probably shouldn't even exist. Let's just laugh and smile and grab a drink, hahah"

Yeah... No.

Nobody is born Christian or capitalist. People are taught it. It's not an innate property of a person. You can choose to not be either of those at any point in time.

If you're allowing this kind of discourse towards LGBT persons, communities, etc. but still enforcing anti-racial policies then you're obviously well uninformed and taking a specifically and completely anti LGBT stance, be it knowingly or unknowingly.

And who exactly is forcing you to use it?

You can use your old backups as well to restore settings. The only thing that didn't work for me was the theme, but it was an easy fix. Good to be back.

By starting a Lemmy instance a year and a half before Rexxit?

By not being prepared for it. It was setup with default communities, like technology for example (correct me if I'm wrong), but no plan to deal with those with moderation capabilities and levels that reach their own standard. To me it's only making the entire experience untrustworthy and stunted. Somehow lemmy.world and others can deal with it without defederating others so that's where I'll go.

To me the whole situation is a "they bit off more than they could chew" kind of thing so you pull the nuclear option.. Honestly I'm avoiding subscribing to any beehaw communities because I won't be able to see any posts made from one of the most populous instances, hence diminishing their value. As a general user I would avoid signing up for beehaw as well for the same reasons, which to be fair is what beehaw probably wants given their lack of resources.
