I actually started on Hexbear as just SSJMarx way back when /r/cth was banned, and I've gone through SSJ2 and a few other usernames that I switch every couple of months for opsec. I did the lemm.ee account for a while to try and diversify my feed, but after doing it for two or three months I decided that being able to see .world was making my lemmy experience worse and not better and came back.

I think you're tilting at a specific brand of Atheism, and that one of the problems here is that Atheism isn't cleanly divided into cults and offshoots the way that religions tend to be. For the specific brand of western chauvinist Atheism you're talking about, I propose the name "Hitchensism," after one of its founding thinkers in the modern world.
RIP bozo maybe don't invade your neighbors next time
putting too much spaghetti into too small of a pot
shit the sticks are falling all over the place

I mean, I agree that that's what they were going for, but it still skeeved me out reading it and I'm glad they didn't actually make it canon.
In Chaos Theory North Korea's aggression is entirely the result of Japanese fascists who want to remilitarize hacking their missile systems with the help of an American military contractor who wants to start a regional war for profit, so maybe they should re-read their source material.
The recent Game Freak hack leaked a bunch of story ideas for Pokeverse mythology, and some of them (like the Typhlosion one) are sus as hell.
Currently debating between going to bed early and getting a midnight burrito. Seems like I encounter this dilemma every night.
The gas stove thing is so wild to me. I grew up using them exclusively, but the first time I cooked on an electric stove it was exactly the same except ten thousand times faster and easier to clean. I can't imagine ever going back, I might as well get a wood burning stove and live in a log cabin or some shit if I'm gonna use gas again.
And it's not that I don't appreciate other cooking methods - I grill with lump charcoal whenever I get the chance - but damn for daily cooking glass is class.
