I want to second using the website as a pwa. It works quite well.

I'd kill for a game with the scope of Skyrim where the NPCs truly felt like they were living their own lives.

Because they don't always exist.

Maybe then we just need to mirror that activity here.

I have a home hub (got it on sale a while back) and I agree that it feels like it should be a small detachable tablet. This looks like the natural next evolution.

I've had a few android tablets. They've all been lackluster and unimpressive. This one, at least seems like it would serve a general purpose (home hub) with the added benefit of being able to detach it and use it as a tablet when needed.

Agreed. Many on this list, to me, seem too busy or an outright eyesore (btop). But bat does appear truly useful. I'll be giving that one a try.

Feedly has fairly decent discovery features.

I've been using Feedly, ever since Google Reader was shut down. I've been happy with it and it has discovery features to find new feeds that interest you.

I used BaconReader for a long time and then switched to Relay several years ago. I'm going to miss it dearly.

I was under the impression that, due to the nature of ActivityPub, that Lemmy and Kbin are interoperable. I've been trying all day to sub to something a fedia.io. I can see it on the list of federated instances here but the search always comes up "no result".

I'm able to subscribe to other communities at other Lemmy instances (with some patience).

Is there a difference syntax I should be using?

Thanks

Change is hard and can be confusing. If the community remains open and helpful hopefully a real push can be made towards taking sites like Reddit down a few pegs.

Right. You see this on Reddit all the time. The community would be split and part would splinter off and start a new sub.

How hard if it to offer a nominally feed as free experience?
