My school had a really good system. Instead of the toilets being in a closed room, they instead had an open floor plan with the sinks being clearly visible from the hallway. Obviously it was all cubicals, no urinals but it worked really well to stop this sort of thing. Seems like a much safer way to curb all those things listed than fucking spying on children.

I use kodi with the jellyfin addon that allows for direct file playback over smb, no more worrying about how the media is encoded. Its a bad problem on my old scrounged together workstation pc with no gpu that i use as a nas lol
The whole episode up until the ending was amazing, it felt like how doctor who should feel especially thanks to donna. "Im donna and youre a gonner" shit made me and my friend laugh so hard. That was classic donna. And oh my god the toymaker explaining what happened to the docs companions after her? Incredible scene. And toymaker dancing around unit was awesome. But then it crashed hard, they pull bi-generation out of their arse. If its a myth the doctor knew about, something that big has to be built up to, to me it just felt like a cheap way to copy the 50th with having 2 doctors on screen.
Although from the small bits ive seen of him, ncuti seems to me like hes gonna be an incredible doctor. That one scene when he kicked 14 and donna out of the tardis, jokingly, with sass was awesome, felt like a NEW doctor, but still the doctor. Also his interactions with tennant were so heartfelt. No doubts hes gonna be great.
Too bad they fucked up the sonic so bad lmao. I can gurantee this new sonic wont be able to make FUCKING SHIELDS because thats op and they were just lazily thinking of a way to get 14 out of that situation.
Im going to give ncuti a go, but with that ending it felt like i had what doctor who used to be ripped from me. If they keep retconning things like davros for the sole purpose of: "wheelchair users cant be assosciated with evil" then the shows dead to me and thats really upsetting
When its for a discontinued console, or games that have been scalped to nuts prices because the owners cba to preserve it, it can barely be considered piracy imo. Its not sane to buy a used console and games for it if it doesent get support or even have online capabilities anymore. Nintendos the worst for it lmao
Honestly i dont think most people do. We're all in a bubble of atleast somewhat technically minded people, not just on lemmy but im sure most of our friends irl are similar. Ive been in a few officey type areas and out of the vast majority of monitors ive seen, theyve been using edge, sometimes i even see multiple browsers open lmao. Just checked statcounter and edge is the third most used which is fucking nuts when you consider how many options there are.
Interesting, ill for sure look into it and reply here if i figure it out. The dev manager linked DOES do something to the timer, my dev app shows 999 hours remaining however it still logs out after a few days. I dont use my tv everyday so maybe that has something to do with it?
It really is, its what i do. To enable developer mode you need to make an lg developer account and install the developer mode app from the lg app store. Once youve enabled that you can use this on your pc to install the yt adfree app. Its recommended to uninstall the old yt app first so if your tv lets you, do that. My tv doesent let me but the adfree app still works, it just gets uninstalled after you turn your tv off. You can install the homebrew channel from the same app which lets you install yt adfree without the tool after the first time. The app also has sponsorblock built in with customizable settings, its the best way to watch yt imo
Also note: after a few days dev mode seems to turn off, making all the apps disappear. You can just log back in and they should all reappear.
Honestly youre right. When i first started using linux it was for fun, something different. It had so many issues that by default id boot into windows and use ubuntu occassionally to learn it some more. A few years later and endeavour is my daily driver and im lucky enough to have 0 issues whatsoever, i love it but its probably dumb luck that all my hardware works well. The issues people have with linux seem totally random, some people breeze through it, then theres people like you that just encounter so much seemingly random bs.

Sweet, were you able to uninstall the original yt app? We have 2 lg tvs in our house, one can uninstall the original app and one cant. Id be interested to know your model tv and whether it can or not
