The unexplored part of the Diamond Age, what if the A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer servers are shut down.

E: Btw, you yourself will need to imagine a rant here about this kind of tech comes for the vulnerable first, and then is often removed from them when they could be depending on it without much fanfare as well. See also the people with eye implants who are no longer supported by the people behind them.

I ended up on Know Your Meme because folks are throwing around "uwu" like we’re all terminally online and all understand Twitter lingo.

Can’t even publish the post early and edit it later for that extra bit of plausible deniability.

Fun detail from bsky, check the date https://bsky.app/profile/ieonardodavinci.bsky.social/post/3l7bs2gev6s2w

According to his goodreads he had not read it yet.

Good that you explain it, lot of people here are basically amateur TPOT/lesswrong watchers so we forget this isn't standard lingo. If you have ever seen us post about eigenrobot that is part of tpot iirc.

So the first time in a long time (ignoring Japan) a single pleb does something that actually is a bit of accellerationism, which is highly praised by all colors of the political spectrum (fuck the grays), and now it isn't real e/acc? I'm not sure who the fake e/acc people here are!

(I'm kidding here btw, I do think it is quite good that the people who talk people into cults are taking a stance that murdering people you dislike is bad, esp considering their crazy ideas re AI, minorities, animal rights, and Sneerclubbers).

The man probably went insane after psychedelic use

So parts of his manifesto (which was short) was published, and it was pain that radicalized him, ah well a superpredictor like Yud can't be right all the times. If only he had the image of a blade of grass that could have been a hint, sadly we did not.

Spoiler for the image link. The image is a scan of a persons back with various medical rods in the back, which was part of the (ALLEGED) shooters twitter image before it got deleted. The blade of grass thing is a reference to an infamous story of Yud about how AGI could figure out another universes physics just by looking at a video frame of a blade of grass bending in the wind.

No sarcasm, is banned on this sub for being counter revolutionary and stopping good rational debate. Just say no to sarcasm!

The man who hypes up that higher intelligences can figure out laws and rules from data quicker and more thoroughly than lower intelligences defending e/acc accounts by going 'well they never openly advocated for killing, so this is not a valid concern'. Did he forget he advocated for bombing datacenters? Guess he never read any science fiction where '"rational" leader accidentally inspires murderous cult', By The God Emperor, somebody should write a science fiction novel about that. (E: hell, does he even get what accellerationism implies? Somebody reading between the lines and going 🎵 'So let the games begin, A heinous crime, a show of force, A murder would be nice of course'🎵 is not out of the question).

I dont know enough about Japan, but is it just me or is that a very specific fleshlight gripe? E: yes, I guess, this means I'm tagging myself as the fleshlight or something.

In a just world they would be able to sue for damages for the storefront not being up, but I doubt this will be possible in any good way.

TWG: is a good reminder that atrocities don’t come from convenient avatars of all I oppose

Random bluecheck: On the contrary, this just reaffirms my biases that e/accs and AGI race-promoters are the source of every bad thing in the world.

TWG: was he e/acc?

We are in the 'he only followed some e/acc, he never said he was e/acc' phase. Wonder what his manifesto will say.
