I am trying to quit all screens aside from workrelated things.

Picked up going outside and doing woodworking on my driveway. I have had such nice conversations with the people in the neighbourhood. Let's connect is a great thing.

Eternal loneliness is a choice. Most people nowadays tend to dwell away behind their phonescreens / PC / TV. Get out and meet some people. There are meetups for things you find interesting. There are walking groups, travellers etc.

If you are alone, you are in the wrong context. A change of place, scenery, people or maybe your own personality is needed.

That's the point of protest. The rules are made to keep the status quo, not be good. And some rules suck balls.

The singling out of a group and taking away rights seems familiar. Something, Something, Something third Reich.

I think you need a big hug, a nice cup of tea and some time to sleep. Tomorrow is indeed going to be different than today. Talking about feelings sucks but it helps. Take care

The thing is Russia is not going to stop. I am against war and against sending people off to the front to die. But if no one is aiding Ukraine, who is going to defend. A ceasefire is not acceptable. Did not work for any country that did sign it with Russia. See Chechnya, after the first Russia recovered and came back for blood.

Really. Because it is all bloatware, all the settings menu's are all over the place, things get jammed in your face ( Use this new thing we made so we can own you even more ) and other nonsense.

A fresh install of Linux takes me far under 30 minutes. Most of them work out of the box.

I work in Tech but I dislike most tech products. They are not repairable, are spyware, abandonware, shiteware and overall not a win-win situation that it is supposed to be. To be away from screens, I got into woodworking. To make things to old-fashioned way. To be repairable, to be sustainable and mostly to be imperfect. And yes, the imperfections are not on-purpose. I am doing my best to buy the old 'Quality' stuff that wont break and restore them to working order.

With shoes I buy second-hand Leather, Goodyear welted shoes and I splurged on Darntough socks. My feet are so happy. Currently I am seeking the best jeans, and almost all cotton seems to the trick.

So not the most niche per se, but I like it.

IKEA has a nice 4 euro glass bottle that is a classier version of Grolsch Beer bottle. It is sealable and works like a charm.
